1/31 AEW Collision Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s coverage of AEW Collision on January 31, from the final night of the residency at the ESports Arena in Arlington, Texas

Darby Allin vs. Clark Connors

Connors attacked Allin as he was making his way to the ring. He put Allin in the ring and the bell rang and he took him down with a slam. Connors continued to manhandle him. Allin kicked Connors in the face and followed with Code Red. Allin went up top for a Coffin Drop, but Connors knocked his leg out from under him, sending him crashing to the ground. He then sent him crashing into the barricade before tossing him into the ring for a running shoulder tackle. Allin swatted at his face three times from the apron. Connors tied him up in the ring apron and punched him repeatedly. He dropped him back first onto the barricade and did the same on the apron.

After the break, Connors hit his own Coffin Drop. He tackled Allin off the apron. He followed by slamming Allin into the steps. Connors moved the steps next to the ring. He tried to suplex Allin, but Allin raked his eyes. Connors headbutted him and threw him into the steps, except Allin jumped over it. Allin sent Connors into the steps and followed with a tope suicida.

Back in the ring, Allin put Connors on the turnbuckle. They battled up top and Connors pulled off some of his KT tape before powerbombing him off the ropes and spearing Allin. Connors put him in a straight jacket until Allin got to his feet. Connors sent him to the mat. Allin responded with a neckbreaker and went for a Coffin Drop, but Connors got his knees up. Connors went for a spear, but Allin moved. Allin locked in the Scorpion Death Lock for the win.

Winner: Darby Allin

After the match, Allin said he defeated Death Riders and he’ll stand at the top of AEW. He was attacked from behind by Gabe Kidd. Kidd and Connors dropped him across the edge of the steps before laying it on his sternum. Kidd said he’s “not on Death Rider business, he’s on Gabe Kidd time.” He will follow Allin until he ends him.

CRU w/Lacey Lane vs. The Rascalz

CRU came to the ring, accompanied by Lacey Lane. Wentz and Xavier follow, accompanied by Myron Reed.

Xavier and Rush start us off with a lock up. They worked each other’s arms. Rush backed him against the ropes and Xavier took him to the mat. Xavier followed with a tijares takedown. He followed with a dropkick and a cover for one. Rush was in the wrong corner and Wentz tagged in. Wentz did a Bronco Buster on Rush. Rush kicked Wentz in the face and Andretti tagged in, leapt over and took Wentz down with a running lariat. CRU double teamed Wentz.

Andretti chopped Wentz and sent him to the corner. He bounced on the ropes and took him down with an armdrag. He followed with a dropkick. Wentz was in the wrong corner and Rush tagged in. Wentz fought out of the corner and landed a crossbody on Andretti. Xavier went for a dive, but CRU moved. Wentz took them down with a tornillo.

After the break, CRU double teamed Xavier. Rush pinned him for two. Xavier landed body shots and a cutter on Rush. Wentz and Andretti tag in. Wentz takes him down twice. Wentz followed with a release German suplex. He did a running Shooting Star Press. Xavier charged at Rush, who took him down. Andretti connected with a rising knee to Wentz’s face. CRU landed stereo topes on the opposite sides of the ring. Rush connected with a middle rope cutter on Xavier and Andretti followed with a cutter of his own and pinned him for 2.99.

CRU set Xavier up for a double back body drop when Wentz pulled him down. Wentz landed a Superkick on Andretti and Rush connected with one on Wentz. Xavier connected with one on Rush. CRU double teamed Xavier. Wentz landed another Superkick on Andretti and a rising knee lift on Rush. Rascalz splashed CRU in the corners before Wentz landed a dropkick on each one. Wentz tagged in and held Andretti in place so Xavier could land a Superkick. Wentz followed with one of his own. Xavier shoved Wentz in midair so he could land a moonsault for the win.

Winner: The Rascalz

Timeless Toni Storm & Orange Cassidy vs. Gino Medina & Lady Bird Monroe

Cassidy and Medina start us off. Cassidy connected with a shoulder tackle and Medina did a roll through. Medina shoved Cassidy and Cassidy rolled himself over to put his hands in his pocket. They ran the ropes before Cassidy landed a dropkick. Medina rolled out of the ring. Monroe got in the ring and shoved Cassidy. He kicked her repeatedly in the shins before Storm took her down with a dropkick. Cassidy landed a tope on Medina and Storm connected with a hip attack on Monroe. Storm landed a DDT on Medina. Cassidy did a spinning DDT on Medina. Storm followed with a Hip Attack before Cassidy landed an Orange Punch on Storm.

Winner: “Timeless” Toni Storm and Orange Cassidy

Wheeler Yuta attacked Cassidy from behind. Storm says “how dare you?” before slapping him. Marina Shafir kicked her in the knee. Shafir sent Storm into the barricade while Cassidy pummels Yuta in the ring. Shafir connected with a running knee and they attacked Cassidy. Cassidy put Cassidy in a full nelson while Yuta interviewed Cassidy. “Now that the Death Riders have kicked your a**how do you feel?” Cassidy said he can’t hear through all that hair. Yuta hit him in the head with a mic and punched him repeatedly in the head before grabbing a pair of scissors. Before Yuta could cut his hair, Storm suplexed Shafir. Storm grabbed the scissors and chased them off. Storm challenged them to a mixed tag hair vs. hair match. 

Mark Briscoe vs. Tommaso Ciampa – TNT Championship

Ciampa offered his hand and Briscoe accepted before locking up. Briscoe backed him to the corner. They locked up again and Ciampa backed him up the corner. Ciampa with a side headlock takeover into a headscissors. Briscoe blocked a leg trip and did an armdrag takedown. Ciampa with a side headlock and a shoulder tackle, but Briscoe didn’t budge. Ciampa kicked him in the gut and forearmed him. They exchanged blows.

Briscoe backed him up to the rope. Briscoe with a Pele kick and sent Ciampa to the outside. Briscoe took him down with a dive. Briscoe punched him against the barricade before putting him in the ring. Ciampa rolled out. Briscoe followed and Ciampa chopped him against the apron. Briscoe chopped him and Ciampa got in the ring. Briscoe chopped him in the corner and followed with a kick and a cover for one.

Briscoe suplexed Ciampa. He punched him in the head, sending him to the mat. They fought in the corner. Ciampa held him down with his foot on his neck. Ciampa chopped him in the opposite corner. Briscoe with Redneck Kung Fu from the apron. He tried to suplex Ciampa. They battled on the apron. Briscoe went for a powerbomb, but Ciampa put his left leg over the rope and did a Psycho Driller on the apron.

After the break, it was announced 10 minutes had passed. Briscoe chopped Ciampa against the ropes and followed with a swinging neckbreaker. He hit two lariats in both corners. Ciampa blocked Briscoe from picking him up. He sent him to the outside. Briscoe did a running dropkick through the ropes before doing a blockbuster from the apron. He put Ciampa back in the ring and Ciampa connected with Willow’s Bell and a pin for two.

Ciampa put Briscoe on the turnbuckle and chopped him before joining him. He lifted Briscoe, but Briscoe blocked him. Briscoe headbutted him twice and slapped him in the face, sending Ciampa crashing to the mat. Briscoe landed a Froggy Bow and a cover for 2.5.

Ciampa backed him into the corner. Briscoe chopped him, placed him on the turnbuckle, and slapped him again. Ciampa did another Psycho Driller from the top. They blocked each others Jay Driller attempts. Ciampa did backslide with five minutes to go. He threw Briscoe out of the ring and did a running knee lift. Ciampa sent him into the time keeper’s table. Briscoe sent him into the ring post and grabbed a table. He put Ciampa on his shoulders, but Ciampa fought out of it and put Briscoe on the table. He did a running knee and put Briscoe in the ring before standing on the table. Briscoe connected with a Froggy Bow from the ringpost through the table. Briscoe rolled off the table. He made it to the ring first, followed by Ciampa.

They slapped hands and exchanged blows. Ciampa followed Briscoe to the rope and kicked him in the face. Briscoe took him down with a running thrust kick. Briscoe headbutted three times. Ciampa kicked his knee out from under him. Ciampa dropped the kneepad and went for a running knee, but Briscoe flipped himself out of the way. Briscoe with a Death Valley Driver and connected with a Froggy Bow. Ciampa blocked a Jay Driller and suplexed him. He took him down with a running knee for the win.

Winner (and new): Tommaso Ciampa

After the match, Kyle Fletcher came out. He clapped and pointed to the title and said “it’s mine”. 

Kazuchika Okada vs. Adam Priest – International Championship

Priest comes to the ring, accompanied by Tommy Billington. Okada follows, accompanied by Rocky Romero. Romero told Okada not to take the title out of its bag before joining commentary.

Okada attacked Priest before the bell rang. He punched Priest before chopping him and following with a neckbreaker. Priest got in several forearms and a chop before getting kicked in the gut. Okada followed with two scoop slams. Priest worked his arm, but Okada reversed into a scoop slam. Priest rolled through and grabbed his leg. Priest stomped Okada and backed him into the corner while Okada punched his back. Priest chopped Okada, who staggered forward. He followed with an uppercut. Priest did an Irish Whip, but Okada put him on the turnbuckle to dropkick him and fake a knee injury. Romero dropped his headset and hit Priest with a double axe handle.

After the break, Okada and Priest dodge each other’s splashes. Priest chopped him multiple times and took him down with a neckbreaker. Priest suplexed Okada. He went up top, but Okada rolled to the outside. Priest knocked down Romero before Romero could knock him down. He took him down with a splash. Okada hit him with a double axe handle and threw him into the barricade. He charged at Priest, who turned him inside out from the knees. Okada held his left knee.

Priest put him in the ring and landed a leg drop. Priest worked his knee and tried to put him a Figure Four, but Okada kicked him away. Okada struck Priest, but Priest with an uppercut and a knife edge chop. Okada missed with a dropkick and Priest locked in a Figure Four. Okada finally made it to the rope, but Priest kept it locked in until the four count. Priest stomped his knee repeatedly. Okada hit him with a big boot and a missile dropkick. Priest blocked a Rainmaker and flipped him over for a pin attempt. Priest followed with a forearm. Okada spun him around and dropped him on the mat. Okada connected with a Rainmaker for the win.

Winner (and still): Kazuchika Okada

Backstage, Eddie Kingston and Ortiz say they’ll be teaming up with The Rascalz in an eight-man parking lot brawl against Grizzled Young Veterans, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith. Kingston and The Rascalz joke about Kingston needing “medicine” as well.

Backstage, Ciampa is celebrating with his family and his new goldie. Ciampa said that nothing would happen without his family, and credited them with the decision to move to AEW. He then thanked the AEW crowd, and shared his respect for Mark Briscoe. He said he’s heard forever that AEW is the place where the best wrestlers in the world are, and he’s already a champion. With that, he told the belt he loved it, and said his daughter had a new big sister to go celebrate with.

Sisters of Sin vs. Babes of Wrath- Tag Title match

Hart and Cameron start us off with a lock up. Hart sends her to the mat and knocked Willow to the floor. Blue took down Cameron. Hart and Willow battle on the outside. Blue hammered Cameron’s face into the apron. Blue put Cameron in the ring and screamed for Julia, who left Willow to get in the ring and tag in Blue. They double team Cameron, but Willow intercepted. She held Cameon so she could kick them in the face. Cameron connected with a slingblade on Blue. Willow tagged in and they landed a Backpack Senton on Blue. Willow forearmed her repeatedly. Hart came towards Willow and she got a back elbow and a chop. Willow ate a boot from Blue and Hart pulled her neck over the top rope. Blue connected with a rising knee strike and an assisted DDT.

Hart tagged in and they teed off on her in the corner. Hart went for a pin attempt. Willow rolled her up for two before tagging in Cameron. Cameron shoulder tackled Hart through rope and kicked Blue. Cameron landed a crossbody on both women. Cameron kicked them both. She took them down with a double lariat.

After the break, Cameron did a jawbreaker on Hart. Blue tagged in and blocked Cameron from tagging Willow. Hart put Cameron the tarantula while Blue dropkicked her in the gut. Blue held Cameron up, but Cameron reversed into a roll up. Cameron with a Saito Suplex. Willow and Hart tag in at the same time. Willow knocked Blue off the apron and took her down with lariat. She stacked them in the corner and landed a lariat on Blue. Willow did a cartwheel and an enziguri on Blue before pouncing her. She connected with Babe with the Powerbomb on Hart, but she kicked out.

Willow started to lawn dart Hart, but she got down and shoved Willow into the corner and followed with a jawbreaker. Hart forearmed Willow before walking the ropes. Hart went for hurricanrana, but her momentum made them fall. Willow rolled her up before putting her in a single leg crap, but Blue broke up the pin. Cameron did a backstabber on Blue. Hart took her down with a leg trip. Hart reversed the Babe with the Powerbomb into an X Factor. Both women are down.

Blue tagged in and they double teamed Willow. Blue went for a pin, but Cameron broke it up. Hart tossed Cameron out of the ring. Willow kicked Hart away and elbowed Blue before tagging in Cameron. She ate a double Superkick. Blue Superkicked Willow off the apron. Sister of Sin tried to double team Cameron, but she got out of it. Blue and Cameron exchange knee strikes and Cameron goes for the pin. Willow threw Hart into the steps and stomped her. Blue rolled up Cameron. Willow tagged in, but Blue landed a Crucifix Bomb on Cameron. Willow and Cameron double team her with a Sole Food combination, allowing Willow to get the pin.

Winners – Babes of Wrath

After the match, Thekla comes out and attacks the Babes of Wrath. Kris Statlander comes out to make the save, and Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne join in to make it a moot point. Statlander and the Babes of Wrath are no match for the group, and the heels end the night by taking the group down and posing in the ring.
