TNA President Clarifies WWE Had No Role in AMC TV Deal

TNA President Clarifies WWE Had No Role in AMC TV Deal – TNA Wrestling President Carlos Silva has confirmed that WWE did not participate in negotiations for TNA’s new television agreement with AMC Networks. Earlier this week, TNA and AMC announced that Impact! will begin airing on AMC starting Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the 9-11 p.m. ET timeslot, with simultaneous streaming available on AMC+.

Speaking with The Takedown on SI, Silva addressed rumors that WWE had helped broker the deal. “No, we did all the negotiations ourselves with me leading the charge on the TNA side, and then [Creative Artists Agency] leading the charge as our representative and our partner on the deal,” Silva explained.

Silva added that while WWE was kept informed throughout the process, they had no direct involvement in the negotiations. “Look, WWE and NXT are very important partners to us. So we kept them in the loop. They knew what was coming. They knew about the deal before you knew about the deal. But no, they’ve got their own deals. They’re very busy with their deals. So they let us go out and cut a deal and get on a major network. And I think they’re happy for us. And we were happy with the way it went.”

The official press release announcing the TNA-AMC deal highlighted the ongoing partnership between TNA and WWE NXT as one of the promotion’s strengths. Silva reiterated that the NXT collaboration will continue and expressed optimism for TNA’s growth in 2026.

With the new agreement in place, TNA Impact! will officially debut on AMC and AMC+ on January 15, offering Thursday night fans a two-hour block of live programming from 9-11 p.m. ET.
