Carlos Silva Discusses Anthem’s New AMC Deal, Live Plans for TNA in 2026 – Anthem Sports President Carlos Silva joined The Ariel Helwani Show on Wednesday to break down the company’s newly announced media rights partnership with AMC. According to Silva, the deal was the result of a lengthy, complex process shaped by an unpredictable media landscape.
Silva said negotiations began in April and stretched across most of the year. He described the environment as difficult to navigate, pointing to the constant changes in where and how networks handle live programming. “It was hard,” Silva admitted. “It’s been a long year. We started it in April. We’ve had many, many calls… especially now with the media landscape around all the moving parts – whether it’s properties moving from platform to platform, platforms changing, platforms being live, platforms not being live.”
Silva explained that securing the deal required timing, luck, and the right partner. Anthem found that partner in AMC.
“You’ve got to find the right moment. You’ve got to get a little lucky and you’ve got to find the right partner… And in the end, we did. We found a partner that’s really excited about putting their big toe into live and live sports entertainment.”
When asked how the relationship with AMC first developed, Silva said Anthem worked with CAA to arrange an initial round of talks with several outlets. AMC immediately stood out. “We had a great first call with AMC. They were literally the best first call we had,” Silva stated. He added that AMC showed genuine interest in weekly programming and had a strong desire to move deeper into the live sports and entertainment market. According to Silva, AMC also saw upside in helping elevate TNA’s visibility.
Looking ahead, Silva noted that TNA plans to increase its number of live broadcasts in early 2026. The company experimented with more live events this year and intends to build on that momentum. “We did a little more live this year. I think we’re going to do a little more live in that first 3–6 months,” Silva said. After that period, Anthem and AMC will reassess how often TNA can realistically go live throughout the remainder of 2026.
WrestlingAttitude.Com will continue providing updates on Anthem’s partnership with AMC and what it means for TNA’s broadcast future.
