Backstage Details On TNA–AMC Agreement And WWE’s Involvement – TNA Wrestling’s search for a new domestic television home has officially concluded, with AMC securing the rights to broadcast Thursday Night iMPACT! beginning January 15, 2026. The flagship program will air live from 9–11 p.m. EST every Thursday, with simultaneous streaming available on AMC+. As previously noted by WrestlingAttitude.Com, the multi-year agreement places TNA on one of cable’s most recognizable entertainment networks, marking a significant shift for the company heading into 2026.
Fightful Select reported that WWE played a direct role in helping TNA finalize the deal with AMC. Despite speculation that the new agreement might trigger an exit clause and dissolve the ongoing WWE–TNA partnership, officials from both sides have strongly rejected those claims. TNA executives described the rumors as having “less than zero truth,” while confirmations from PWInsider, Sports Illustrated, and internal sources further emphasized that the partnership remains intact.
The timeline behind the AMC move reportedly stretches back to spring 2025, when negotiations quietly began. Only a select group within TNA was aware of the details during the process, though staff and roster members were briefed shortly before Tuesday’s official announcement. Interest in TNA’s media rights had also come from The CW and A&E, both networks with existing WWE ties, before AMC ultimately emerged as the destination.
Morale backstage is said to be exceptionally high. Talent universally reacted with excitement, viewing the move as an opportunity to elevate their stories to a much wider audience. Several TNA names celebrated the announcement publicly. TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian wrote, “As the @ThisIsTNA Champion… it’s truly an honor to help lead this company into a new era on the great @AMC_TV… It all begins on 1-15-26.” Eddie Edwards echoed that sentiment, posting, “The new journey begins. January 15th 9pm. We aren’t turning the page. We are opening a whole new book.”
The AMC debut of Thursday Night iMPACT! will air live from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas, with subsequent episodes expected to include a mix of live broadcasts and pre-taped shows. According to Fightful, TNA believes its new agreement includes a required number of live broadcasts across the year.
Following the premiere, TNA will travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for television tapings on January 22 and 23 — a location fittingly associated with AMC’s acclaimed series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
