WWE–TNA Partnership Remains Strong Despite Conflicting Reports – WWE and TNA’s working relationship isn’t going anywhere, despite a recent wave of conflicting reports suggesting otherwise.
Sports business reporter Blake Avignon claimed that WWE planned to end its current partnership with TNA Wrestling following TNA’s new media rights deal with AMC Networks. According to Avignon, the move allegedly triggered a 60-day termination clause within the existing agreement between the two companies. That claim quickly circulated, fueling speculation that the cross-promotional work between NXT and TNA could be nearing an end.
However, every major outlet with direct sources inside WWE and TNA has completely dismissed the report. PWInsider, Fightful Select, Sports Illustrated, and others all confirmed the partnership remains intact, and that there are no plans for it to end. TNA President Carlos Silva addressed the rumor directly during an appearance on The Takedown on SI, calling the claim “less than zero truth” and reiterating that the partnership is “strong.”
One high-ranking TNA source went even further, describing the initial report as “100 percent bulls**t,” stressing that the collaborative relationship is not only active but expected to continue as TNA transitions to AMC in early 2026.
PWInsider also noted that officials from both WWE and TNA were “adamant” that the partnership will carry on, and WWE was aware of TNA’s AMC deal long before it became public. In fact, WWE NXT was mentioned in the official joint announcement from TNA and AMC, signaling continued cooperation between the brands.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp added that WWE even assisted in facilitating the TNA–AMC agreement, underscoring the value both companies see in the partnership. The relationship has already produced several crossover appearances, allowing NXT and TNA talents to compete on each other’s shows and, on rare occasions, appear on WWE’s main roster. AJ Styles’ appearance at TNA Slammiversary remains one of the most notable collaborations so far.
As TNA prepares to launch “Thursday Night iMPACT!” on January 15, 2026, the alliance between the two companies appears to be stronger than ever—far from the speculation of an imminent split.
