December 2 NXT Card Gets Significant Update – The lineup for this week’s NXT episode on the CW continues to come together, and WWE has confirmed a major eight-man tag team match for Tuesday’s broadcast. Joe Hendry, Je’Von Evans, Leon Slater, and Myles Borne will team up to face DarkState in a matchup that comes just days before NXT Deadline. The announcement was made earlier today across WWE’s social media platforms, with the company promoting the bout as a key piece of the ongoing NXT Gold Rush storyline.
“After the events that ended Week Two of NXT Gold Rush and just days away from NXT Deadline, get ready for a HUGE 8-Man Tag Team Match TOMORROW on WWE NXT,” WWE wrote in its online announcement.
The timing of the match carries added significance. DarkState’s Dion Lennox is one of the competitors slated for the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline, joining Hendry, Evans, Slater, and Borne in the field. The closing angle on last week’s show helped set the tone for Tuesday’s clash, as DarkState stormed the crowd moments after Myles Borne defeated Trick Williams to qualify for the Iron Survivor Challenge. Their attack brought Hendry, Evans, and Slater to the ring, resulting in a fast-paced pull-apart that hinted at tensions that will likely carry over into both Tuesday’s tag match and the upcoming Deadline bout.
As of now, the eight-man tag joins only one other confirmed match for the episode: Josh Briggs vs. Tavion Heights. NXT will once again emanate from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
Alongside the in-ring action, WWE is also advertising several key segments for the December 2 edition of NXT on the CW. The Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge summit is set to take place, and The Culling are scheduled to address their recent betrayal of Tatum Paxley following her NXT Women’s Championship loss to Jacy Jayne.
With Deadline approaching and multiple storylines intersecting, this week’s NXT is positioned to be a crucial stop on the road to Sunday’s Premium Live Event.
