Big Boom AJ & QT Marshall vs. Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero
Pro wrestling legend Paul Wight (aka The Big Show) is introduced to the crowd to a big reaction. He settles in at the ringside area, as he will be sitting in on special guest commentary for our second match of the evening here at Tailgate Brawl.
After a brief backstage promo from Samoa Joe ahead of his rematch against Hangman Page inside of a Steel Cage for the AEW World Championship in tonight’s AEW Full Gear 2025 pay-per-view main event, we head back inside the arena where the ring entrances for our second bout take place.

Beretta pins A.J., but Marshall breaks the fall by flying off the middle rope. Romero catches Marshall with a Sliced Bread and lands alternating lariats on A.J. and Marshall in opposite corners, then grabs Beretta’s arm brace and looks to use it while Romero distracts the referee. Justice slides into the ring and lands a cutter on Romero before he can use the arm brace, then celebrates with Paul Wight.

AEW National Championship Casino Gauntlet
The pre-match video package airs to tell the story of events that led up to our next match of the evening, a Casino Gauntlet to crown the first-ever AEW National Champion. After it wraps up, we return back at ringside. The Hurt Syndicate make their way out for a shared entrance.
They come out together since Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin are the first two competitors in this match. They head to the ring as we get a good look at the brand new AEW National Championship title belt. It looks similar to the classic old-school NWA Television Championship. The bell sounds and off we go.
Bobby Lashley locks up with Shelton Benjamin. Ricochet makes his way out as the number three entrant in the match with a microphone in hand to distract Lashley and Benjamin as Gates Of Agony sneak up behind Lashley and Benjamin. Ricochet hits MVP with the microphone on the outside as Toa Liona runs over Lashley on the other side of the ring and Bishop Kaun sends Benjamin crashing between the barricade and the ring apron. Kaun delivers a cutter to Benjamin on top of a chair, and Liona delivers a Hip Attack to Lashley that sends him crashing into the ring steps. Officials run down to the ring to escort Gates Of Agony away from ringside and help MVP to the back.
Claudio Castagnoli enters the match next at number four and intercepts Ricochet with an uppercut as Ricochet looks to fly through the middle rope. He connects with The Swing on him and follows it up with a second uppercut, but Ricochet takes out Castagnoli with a hurricanrana.

No Holds Barred Match
Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly
O’Reilly lays into Mox as he looks for a hold on the arm, but Jon breaks free to fight back. Both men are on their feet as Mox offers a “free shot” to O’Reilly…and Kyle makes him pay for it, sending the former World Champion to the corner for some hard kicks. They end up trading normally illegal holds, until Kyle forces Mox down to the mat for an ankle lock…but Mox breaks free to take a breather on the outside.
Marina convenes with him, offering a fork to give Mox an edge as he comes back into the ring…but O’Reilly does his best to fend off the attack, only to be sent to the mat. Mox manages to move the hand away long enough to start jabbing at the face of Kyle, who turns to his stomach…and this allows Mox to attack the back instead!
The ref starts to intervene, which makes Mox confront him with a reminder that anything goes. We see Kyle is busted open as Mox goes back after him, eventually taking a bite out of O’Reilly as the ref checks to see if Kyle gives up. He does not, as Mox pulls him away from the ropes to go after his arm.
As he continues to pull back on Kyle’s arm he takes a bite out of his free hand. He continues the damage with some toe kicks…but Kyle manages to fight back, leading to an ankle lock. Mox tries to break free as O’Reilly transitions to a facelock, and he sends Kyle to the mat with a back suplex. He grabs the fork again, targeting the…nipple…of O’Reilly against the ropes. He breaks away just long enough to set up a choke hold on the ropes, keeping Kyle’s arms trapped on the ropes…until O’Reilly counters into a headlock forcing Mox to break his own hold! Kyle fights into a cross arm breaker, as Mox uses the ropes to pull himself out of the ring and break the hold.
The fight spills out of the ring as Mox goes after O’Reilly, only to be launched into the ring steps by Kyle. O’Reilly grabs a chair from nearby, setting it up before landing some kicks on Mox, forcing him onto the chair. Kyle gets on the apron, setting up a running start before leaping off for a missile dropkick sending him against the barricade! He brings Mox back into the ring, blocking a cutter attempt before cinching in the ankle lock once again!
Mox turns over to kick at Kyle’s head, looking for a triangle hold before Kyle drops down to tighten his own hold. Mox eventually kicks away at the head enough to break free, but O’Reilly gets right back after him when Mox grabs the fork…and now it’s Kyle doing the forking, jabbing at the face of Moxley! Mox is looking worse for wear as O’Reilly leaves the ring, grabbing a chain from underneath before coming back.
The two stand off until O’Reilly starts wrapping the chain around Mox while holding onto a guillotine hold…only for Mox to respond in kind. This is chain wrestling at its finest as they trade shots looking for an advantage, and it leads to O’Reilly dropping Mox with a suplex.
The two men are slow to move but eventually make it back to their feet, trading strikes until Kyle lands a couple kicks…only for Mox to grab Kyle with a takedown into a bulldog choke. He uses the chain for added damage, but O’Reilly counters out for some mounted punches. Mox counters as well, finally breaking free to cinch in an ankle lock of his own before going for a bulldog choke…only for O’Reilly to jab his hand with the fork to break the hold!
Mox breaks free and stomps the head of O’Reilly before leaving the ring to grab a chair. He comes back into the ring, wrapping the chair around the right arm of O’Reilly before running into a stomp to take the arm out. It’s looking real bad for O’Reilly as Mox hoists him up for a Death Rider DDT. He looks for a kimura but Kyle grabs his tights to block it, only for Mox to roll through to cinch it in! Kyle breaks free as he rolls through, transitioning to another ankle lock before grabbing the chain for even more damage. He’s got Mox trapped in the middle of the ring with a grapevine, and Mox has no choice but to tap out!
Winner via submission: Kyle O’Reilly
Mox is a man of few emotions here, but the frustration is palpable even as he nods in respect to O’Reilly before leaving the ring. He sees O’Reilly being tended to by medics, and between that and just tapping out once again we see the emotions pouring out as Mox rushes back into the ring, attacking Kyle’s arm once again! He finally leaves the ring as Strong and Cassidy come to the aid of O’Reilly. Mox shakes his head at everyone chanting “you tapped out” at him before leaving through the crowd as we cut away from ringside.
TNT Championship
Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mark Briscoe (If Briscoe loses, he must join the Don Callis Family)
The two go at it until Briscoe tries on a couple occasions to end things early…only to be sent out of the ring by the champ! Fletcher leaves the ring but takes a chair to the face by Mark, who sends Kyle to the barricade to stay on the attack. He sends the champ into the ring steps before launching another chair at Fletcher, and then sets the chair up to let Kyle have a seat. Briscoe gets onto the apron for a running dive…but Fletcher catches him, slamming the challenger onto the chair with a brainbuster instead!
He grabs the head of Briscoe to send him into the ring steps now, as the crowd tells Don Callis at ringside how they feel about him. Kyle looks for a suplex on the steps but is swept onto them instead, and Briscoe follows up with a hard chop. He reaches under the ring for some plunder, pulling out some chairs and a large stepladder.
He sets up the ladder against a couple chairs, propping Kyle up against this before entering the ring for a cannonball dive…only for Fletcher to dodge at the last second, forcing the challenger to crash into the contraption instead! Fletcher goes hunting for a weapon of his own, grabbing a ladder before coming back into the ring…and leaving to grab the challenger and bring him back in as well.
Fletcher slams the ladder against him, busting Briscoe open as he props the ladder up in the corner before setting Briscoe up…but for what, we’ll never know as Briscoe sends Kyle to the mat. Fletcher back up to his feet with the ladder in his hands, only for Briscoe to hit a missile dropkick sending the ladder into his face!
We now see Fletcher is busted open, as Briscoe leaves the ring for another weapon…pulling a table out from underneath. He sets the table up as Kyle goes after him, only to be sent onto the table where Briscoe slams a chair on him. Mark climbs the turnbuckle, only for Fletcher to roll off and walk away…and as Briscoe pursues him, Fletcher lands a half and half suplex sending Briscoe onto the floor.
Fletcher starts setting up some chairs as Briscoe starts to stir, getting to his feet as Fletcher finishes what he set up…only to take another chair right in the face by the challenger! He sets Kyle up on the chairs before climbing the turnbuckle…but a distraction from Don Callis allows Fletcher to intervene, sending Briscoe through the table instead!
Another table has been brought into the ring by this point as Briscoe slowly gets back to his feet to get back into the ring. The table gets propped up against the corner as Briscoe tries to go for a Jay Driller…and Fletcher counters with an Alabama Slam sending Briscoe through the table in the corner! Briscoe manages to fight back on a powerbomb attempt, only to be dropped hard by the champion…who brings in a back to pour out a pile of thumbtacks.
Briscoe tries to fight back, but Kyle grabs a handful of tacks and shoves them into Briscoe’s mouth before slamming him in the face. He looks for another powerbomb, but Briscoe counters and drops the champ onto the tacks with a brainbuster for a close two count! Mark leaves the ring, pulling out a table with barbed wire attached and a ladder.
He props the table against the apron and brings the, uh, latter into the ring before grabbing a chair on his way back in. As he sets the ladder up he sees Fletcher trying to get away, and this leads to a fight on the apron…until Briscoe lands a leaping neckbreaker to send the champ through the chairs on the outside!
Briscoe sets a table up over the pile of tacks before climbing the ladder, only for Fletcher to intervene by climbing the ladder himself…until Briscoe leaps off the ladder for a Froggy Bow sending Fletcher through the table! Cover by the challenger…and Kyle manages to barely kick out at two to stay in the match!
Mark leaves the ring to bring the barbed wire table in, as Kyle is handed a screwdriver by Callis. Briscoe brings the champ to his feet and blocks a screwdriver shot…but Kyle manages to jab him in the head with it anyway, sending Briscoe to the corner. He licks the screwdriver in an act of defiance, and this costs him as Mark lands another brainbuster onto the tacks for a nearfall.
Briscoe climbs the turnbuckle, but the champ shoves the ref into him to stop it. Kyle’s still got the screwdriver and he pokes it through the turnbuckle pad, looking for a very nasty brainbuster…but Briscoe stops him! Cutthroat Driver is stopped by a screwdriver to the head, and Fletcher lands a sheer drop brainbuster for the cover…only for the challenger to kick out just in the nick of time!
Mark gets to his feet as he heads to the opposite corner, where Fletcher starts to intercept him…but Briscoe fends him off, setting up for a BT Bomb sending Fletcher through the barbed wire table. He follows up with a Jay Driver, and pins Fletcher to become the new TNT Champion here at Full Gear!
Winner and new TNT Champion: Mark Briscoe

Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)& Josh Alexander vs. Jurassic Express (Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) & Kenny Omega
We start off with Perry and Nick Jackson, and the fight quickly spills to the outside where Perry takes control. He sends Nick to the mat with an arm drag, but a double dropkick goes nowhere as they stand off. Tags made to Luchasaurus and Matt. Luchasaurus takes Matt down with ease before sending him to the ropes, chopping him as well as Josh and Nick down easily. He brings Matt to the corner for a tag to Perry, and a double-team leads to a dropkick by Perry for a nearfall.

The two head to the ropes where Josh tags himself in, laying some shots into Kenny before the latter sends him to the outside for a dive. Omega fights back for a hurricanrana sending Alexander out of the ring, before landing a dive onto all three men. He brings Nick back in the ring before Perry tags in, but things come down for him as Alexander catches him on a dive attempt to slam the former Jungle Boy onto the apron. Perry is brought back in as Matt tags in, only to go after Omega on the outside before the Bucks land Risky Business for a two count.
Matt hits the ropes for a lariat, taking Perry down for another nearfall before tagging in Alexander, who goes back to work on Jack before getting a two count of his own. He sends Perry to the ropes but takes a lariat by Perry for his troubles. Josh fights back to send Perry back to the ropes, but once again this proves costly as Perry catches him with a DDT. Tag made to Luchasaurus and to Matt, as Luchasaurus takes Alexander and the Bucks out with clothesline. Double chokeslam is intercepted by Alexander, who takes a chokeslam for his effort. He lands one on the Bucks before hitting a standing moonsault on Matt for a two.
Luchasaurus fights off The Bucks some more before Josh gets the tag, going after the big man before Omega gets involved as well off a tag. Things break down as all six men go at it, with Perry taking a backbreaker by Alexander before Luchasaurus takes him out. Destroyer by Matt is followed by a running knee by Omega! Everyone is down but we see Omega Alexander back on their feet, trading strikes with the ring finally cleared.
This culminates in Alexander cinching in the ankle lock, and The Bucks add insult (and injury) to injury with a BTE Trigger before diving onto Jurassic Express on the outside. Back in the ring, Omega narrowly gets to the ropes to finally force a break.
Matt makes a tag but falls victim to a TK Driver by Perry as Omega gets a nearfall. Countdown to Extinction gets blocked, but Alexander takes a running knee. Nick gets sent out of the ring as Jurassic Express land Countdown to Extinction on Matt…but Alexander breaks the pin at the last second!
Alexander is sent out out of the ring as the Bucks end up landing a series of superkicks…including one on Alexander by accident! Josh is sent to the floor as Perry gets a rollup on Matt, but Nick intervenes for a BTE Trigger that leads to a big win for the pair!
Winners via pinfall: Josh Alexander and the Young Bucks
After the match, The Don Callis Family joins Callis and The Bucks in the ring. Callis assumes that The Bucks have officially joined The Don Callis Family and invite them to celebrate with their newly won money.
The Don Callis Family begin attacking Omega, but seeing this happening The Bucks hesitate as Callis tries escorting them to the back. Callis grabs one bag of money, but The Bucks ultimately decide to drop their own bags and run back to the ring. They fight off The Don Callis Family to come to Omega’s aid alongside Jurassic Express.
As Omega makes his way back to his feet, Matt and Nick extend their hands to Omega. Omega pushes both their hands away and opts to hug The Bucks instead. He raises Matt and Nick’s hands and heads up the entrance ramp as Don Callis sneaks away with the three bags full of $1 million.
AEW Women’s World Championship
Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Moné
Moné goes for an ankle pick but is quickly fended off by Stat, who takes control for a moment before Mercedes goes for a Statement Maker. Kris manages to break free, but is sent out of the ring by the CEO…who gets caught on a dive attempt, with Statlander hoisting her up to walk up the steps onto the apron.
Moné breaks free, but is soon caught with a superplex by the champ who follows up with a 450 splash…but Mercedes rolls away! This forces Stat to leave the ring, favoring her arm as the ref goes to check on her. Kris insists she can continue, getting back to her feet…just in time to take a Meteora by Moné! She mocks the champ, telling the doc to check on her before sending Stat into the steps.
Mercedes climbs the steps for a double stomp, bringing Stat back into the ring for a cover and a two count. DDT off the ropes by Moné, and she goes for an armbar on the champ while targeting her hand at the same time. Stat struggles as Moné changes the grip, only for the champ to get to her feet. Mercedes sends her to the corner, eventually dropping her to the mat for a two count.
Stat is in a bad way here, as Moné continues the attack with some stomps before sending the champ to the corner. Kris starts to fight back, but the CEO catches her with an armbar…and switches sides just to keep the champ off her game. Stat powers to her feet, but is dropped down on her arm by Moné, who drives her boot into the arm even more before kicking it away. She gets back up and lands a big DDT on Stat, but it’s only good for a nearfall which frustrates her.
Moné stays on the attack now, setting up for a long series of vertical suplexes beyond the usual Three Amigos. A remark is made about her matching the number of titles she has, and sure enough, she lands a series of 13 suplexes in total…and one to grow on! This gets a “CEO” chant from the crowd, honoring the work put into that sequence.
Moné looks to complete the homage with a frog splash as she goes up top…but she lands on the boot of the champ, right into the midsection! Both women are slow to get back up, before trading strikes. Moné gets sent into the ropes for a back body dropped, and then into the corner as Stat sends up for a Michinoku Driver of sorts…but it only gets a two count.
Stat rolls to the outside for a breather, but Moné comes after her looking for a Meteora…only for the champ to drop her with a Blue Thunder Bomb to the floor! Kris struggles to get up, sliding into the ring as the ref begins the count…and gets to nine before Mercedes slides into the ring to stop it! Stat gets up but takes a Backstabber by the CEO, sending her into the corner before landing another attack. She sets up for a running kick (I think?)…but Stat catches her with a discus lariat instead!
Cover by the champ, but Mercedes attacks the arm to stop the pin. She fights to her feet before Stat takes control, locking in a Statement Maker on the CEO…but Moné rolls through for one of her own! Kris is trapped in the middle of the ring, trying to roll through as Moné keeps the hold on…but the champ gets to her feet, bringing Mercedes up to the turnbuckle as a result. Moné gets caught on the shoulders of Stat once more, right into a rib breaker on the way down to the mat!
Statlander sets up for Saturday Night Fever, but Mone transitions into a pinfall. Statlander kicks out and rolls through into a seatbelt pin. Mone kicks out, but Statlander catches her with Saturday Night Fever. She goes for a pin, but Mone grabs the bottom rope to break the fall.
Mone connects with a reverse hurricanrana on Statlander, then connects with a meteora on Statlander and goes for a pin. Statlander kicks out, then delivers the Saturday Night Fever to Mone for the win.
Winner (and still): Kris Statlander
Backstage:
ackstage, we hear from the Don Callis Family as they addressing the money they won versus the losses they faced earlier in the night. Callis hypes up Okada defending the Continental Championship in the Continental Classic…and we find out that Konosuke Takeshita will be in the tournament as well!
Kyle Fletcher appears, angry that neither Okada nor Takeshita were out there to help him as he lost his TNT Championship. He reveals that he is ALSO entering the Continental Classic, before walking off. Okada blames Takeshita for all this before leaving, and Takeshita stares him down as we cut away.
AEW World Championship Steel Cage Match
“Hangman” Adam Page defends against Samoa Joe
The two men circle the mat before locking up, and Joe sends the champ to the corner for some hard strikes. Page fights back, eventually sending the challenger into the side of the cage for a nearfall…before Joe gets some revenge, sending the Hangman into the cage for his troubles. The damage done leads to both men being busted open early as Joe goes back to work, pulling off Page’s boot before sending the champ to the corner for some stomps to the head. Page fights back, now using his own boot against the challenger before charging at him with it. Cover by Hangman only gets a one count.
Page brings Joe to his feet for some hard strikes before sending him face first into the side of the cage, only making things worse for the wear and tear on the challenger. Joe manages to turn it back around as he lands some elbow shots on the head of the champ, before they once again trade strikes back and forth…with Joe sending Page into the cage with a back elbow strike! Page is trapped as Joe lands a flurry of offense, culminating in an enziguri.
Page is slow to his feet as he gets back in the ring, the two men going back at it until Page goes for a chokehold…only to be driven away by the challenger, who stomps at him before pulling off the turnbuckle pad. Page manages to fight back to his feet, going to the turnbuckle…but Joe catches him, looking for a muscle buster!
Page attacks the cut on Joe’s head to fend him off, climbing up even higher before Joe looks for an avalanche muscle buster…only to be knocked off by the champ. We see Katsuyori Shibata coming to the cage, climbing up the side to intervene…but Eddie Kingston pulls him down to keep him at bay! This is followed by the arrival of Powerhouse Hobbs who levels Kingston, before basically ripping the lock off the cage door.
He is fended off by Page, but not before the ref gets knocked down as Joe goes for a Coquina Clutch…only for the champ to counter into a Dead Eye! Cover by Page, but the ref is still out as HOOK comes down to the ring to try and wake up the ref. When the ref is slow to get up, HOOK grabs the World Title…and nails the Hangman with it! He leaves the ring as Joe grabs Page for a Muscle Buster and the win to become the new AEW World Champion!
Winner and NEW AEW World Champion: Samoa Joe
The cage is raised back up as Joe’s group of Dojo students applaud the new champion…but the celebration is cut short as the lights go out. We get a glimpse of what is revealed to be Prince Nana, saying “we’re in the money” as the crowd chant Whose House?…and we get new music for the return of Swerve Strickland!
He makes his way down the ramp as Joe tells his students to step aside…but after staring the new champion down, he immediately goes after one of the students as Joe takes his leave! This leads to the rest of The Opps going after Swerve, but he fights them off leading to landing the Killshot on one student and a House Call on another! Another student tries to blindside Strickland, but takes a Buckshot Lariat from Page instead! Hangman stands alongside Swerve, the two staring down Joe and his main Opps pals as Swerve’s music plays once more to bring Full Gear to a close.
