WWE Expected to Make ‘Special Announcement’ From Las Vegas on 9/12 – TKO Group Holdings is using the high-profile Terrance Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez fight week in Las Vegas to spotlight a major WWE announcement. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reports that WWE executives and talent are already in town for a “special announcement” scheduled for Friday, September 13, at 3 PM EST.
According to Sapp, there’s a “good chance” the announcement will confirm WrestleMania 43 taking place in Saudi Arabia. This lines up with recent reporting that WWE and its Saudi partners pushed for 2027 to host WrestleMania in Riyadh to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the First Saudi State.
The announcement is set to be made under the broader promotional umbrella of TKO’s involvement with Crawford vs. Canelo, an event sponsored by Riyadh Season. Using the Las Vegas fight weekend for a major WWE reveal places the company directly in the spotlight of the global sports audience.
Several top WWE names are advertised to be part of the announcement, including Triple H, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer, and Charlotte Flair. The lineup reflects the mix of legends and current stars WWE typically highlights when making globally significant announcements.
If WrestleMania 43 is officially confirmed for Saudi Arabia, it will mark the first time WWE’s biggest annual event is held outside North America. The move would further solidify WWE’s expanding partnership with Saudi Arabia, which already includes multiple premium live events each year and the upcoming 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh.
