Jacob Fatu Set for Imminent Return – Jacob Fatu is expected to make his WWE television return very soon. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported, “Jacob Fatu will be back imminently,” signaling that fans may not have to wait long to see the former United States Champion again.
Fatu had a breakout first half of 2025, highlighted by a career-defining victory over LA Knight at WrestleMania, where he captured the United States Championship. His popularity soared even higher at Money in the Bank when he turned babyface, breaking away from Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline faction.
However, his momentum shifted in the summer. At Night of Champions, Fatu lost the U.S. Title back to Sikoa after interference from Tala Tonga, the newest Bloodline member. He later failed to reclaim the championship in a steel cage match at SummerSlam, after which he largely disappeared from television. Since then, Fatu has only worked a few dark matches following SmackDown tapings, leaving fans wondering about his next move.
Before joining WWE in 2024, Fatu built a dominant reputation on the independent scene and in MLW, where he held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship for a record-setting 819 days. While WWE has yet to reveal creative plans for his return, his history of high-impact performances and Bloodline connections suggest he could immediately shake up SmackDown upon his comeback.
