9/19 WWE SmackDown Preview – Final Stop Before Wrestlepalooza – WWE has confirmed a packed edition of Friday Night SmackDown for tonight, the final broadcast before this weekend’s inaugural Wrestlepalooza premium live event. The show will feature two championship bouts, an in-ring interview with Brock Lesnar, and an appearance by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
Lesnar is set to address the crowd just one night before his highly anticipated showdown with John Cena at Wrestlepalooza. This marks his final opportunity to speak before stepping into the ring against Cena.
Two major titles will also be defended tonight. For the third week in a row, Sami Zayn will put the WWE United States Championship on the line in an open challenge. Former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes has already announced that he intends to accept, setting the stage for a high-stakes encounter.
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles are also up for grabs. Champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will defend against Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre. This match follows weeks of escalating tension after Green’s faction, “The Secret Hervice,” blindsided the champions and sidelined Flair with an injury. Although Bliss managed to score a singles victory over Green, Flair has returned, and the champions are looking for payback in tag team action.
With SmackDown airing live from Toledo, Ohio, tonight’s episode serves as the official go-home show for the blue brand, giving WWE one last chance to fuel anticipation ahead of Wrestlepalooza.
