WWE Releases Three Wrestlers from ID Program – Three wrestlers have officially departed from the WWE ID program after being released from their contracts.
Aaron Roberts was the first to confirm his exit, announcing the news this morning. In a candid video statement, Roberts shared that he had been fired from what he described as his dream job, while also making it clear he intends to keep wrestling. Based out of Tennessee, Roberts is now accepting bookings at “BookAaronroberts1@gmail.com.”
“I’m still the baddest motherf*cker walking both sides of the Mississippi,” Roberts declared.
Roberts joined WWE ID last November, with his signing first revealed during a Memphis Wrestling event.
PWInsider has also reported that Ice Williams and Jordan Oasis were released alongside Roberts. Williams, a standout talent on the West Coast, is well-known for his work in Las Vegas with Future Stars of Wrestling. Oasis, who wrestles under the nickname “Global Nomad,” comes from the Pacific Northwest and received training at both the Buddy Wayne Academy and KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy.
According to PWInsider, both Williams and Oasis will still appear on upcoming episodes of WWE EVOLVE that had been taped prior to their release.
The WWE ID (Independent Development) program was launched late last year as part of WWE’s efforts to strengthen ties with independent wrestling. The initiative allows select wrestlers and training schools to work with WWE, with the potential to transition into NXT in the future. Current WWE ID Champions include Kylie Rae and Cappuccino Jones, who were crowned as the first champions of the program’s respective divisions.
