TNA Wrestling in Talks with The CW, Possible Move to Wednesdays – TNA Wrestling is reportedly exploring the possibility of moving its weekly Impact show to a WWE-affiliated network, with The CW and A&E mentioned as potential partners. Both networks already have ties to WWE, which has maintained a close working relationship with TNA in recent months.
According to Jon Alba of The Takedown on SI, multiple independent sources have confirmed that discussions have taken place regarding such a move. One scenario being considered would see Impact shift from its current Thursday night slot to Wednesdays, directly opposing AEW Dynamite. While Alba stressed that it was not confirmed The CW would be the destination, he noted that the network’s interest in TNA is genuine and that some WWE stakeholders are in favor of the promotion joining its lineup.
TNA President Carlos Silva did not deny the possibility when asked about the rumors, confirming that media rights talks are ongoing and that additional meetings are scheduled this month. He emphasized that any decision made will be based on what’s best for TNA rather than a deliberate attempt to compete with AEW.
The company is aiming for a new media rights deal worth around $10 million annually, which would make it possible for Impact to air live every week. Silva expressed optimism, telling The Takedown there is “positive momentum” in negotiations, with a resolution hoped for within the next couple of months.
Impact currently airs on AXS TV, which is owned by TNA’s parent company Anthem Sports & Entertainment, and streams on TNA+. Silva has also credited the partnership with WWE for creating new opportunities and increasing the promotion’s visibility.
