Possible New Match for WWE Clash in Paris – WWE may be looking to add another high-profile match to this Sunday’s Clash in Paris premium live event. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that a singles showdown between Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre has been actively discussed for the card, though the match has not yet been made official.
“There’s at least a solid chance that they’re going to add Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre to the pay-per-view on Sunday,” Meltzer said. “It’s not 100% but it was something that’s been talked about.”
The potential bout would mark the latest chapter in their escalating rivalry. The tension between the two intensified at SummerSlam when McIntyre teamed with Logan Paul to score a victory over Orton and country music star Jelly Roll. Since then, their feud has continued to play out on WWE programming.
On the August 22 edition of SmackDown, Orton dropped McIntyre with a surprise RKO, setting the stage for further conflict. McIntyre later responded with a fiery promo on social media, mocking Orton as “Old Yeller” and promising to put him down for good.
If confirmed, Orton vs. McIntyre would add even more star power to an already stacked Clash in Paris lineup. The card is headlined by Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed, John Cena vs. Logan Paul, and a World Heavyweight Championship Fatal Four-Way Match.
