Matt Riddle Rips CM Punk’s WWE Run, Calls Him “Difficult to Work With” – Matt Riddle has once again made headlines with strong words for CM Punk. Speaking on the TMZ Sports podcast, the former WWE star called Punk difficult to work with, while at the same time acknowledging his ability to draw massive attention and revenue for WWE.
“I have good friends on the roster that still say that he’s a b**** to work with,” Riddle stated. “If he didn’t generate the amount of money and attention that he does, he wouldn’t be there. And kudos to him, the guy packs an arena, he sells tickets, he sells merchandise, and when you look at WWE right now, especially with TKO, right now, they don’t really care about anything else… hands off to him, he’s killing it… he’s staying active, he’s staying busy, and his fans seem to love him. I have no ill will towards the man, I just don’t think he’s good at fighting.”
Riddle did not stop there. He also criticized Punk’s in-ring performances, suggesting that the former multi-time world champion is past his peak.
“I think his better days of wrestling are way behind him,” Riddle said. “And that’s not a knock. I can tell you I’m not getting that much better or faster or stronger. I can tell you he’s definitely not either, especially with all the botches.”
This is far from the first time Riddle has been outspoken about fellow wrestlers. During his WWE run, he openly criticized both Goldberg and Roman Reigns. Since his WWE release in 2023, Riddle has stayed active in the wrestling world, working on the independent scene and competing for MLW, where he currently holds the MLW World Heavyweight Championship.
