7/4 WWE SmackDown Live Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage of WWE SmackDown on July 4, from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
We see Solo Sikoa in his vehicle but Jacob Fatu greets him with some punches and then he takes care of Tonga and JC. Fatu has to be held back by security and warned by Nick Aldis.
The new King, Cody Rhodes, makes his way to the ring to start the show.
Cody asks the people of Pittsburgh what do they want to talk about. Cody says before he talks about King of the Ring, he wants to talk about a fan in the crowd who is fighting leukemia. Cody praises the crowd and he talks about what the crown stands for. He says he left a piece of himself in Columbus against Jey Uso for this. He left a piece of himself in Saudi Arabia against Randy Orton. It is about where we have been and where we are going. He mentions other Kings of the Ring. We are going to the main event of SummerSlam. He will be facing John Cena.
Randy Orton interrupts.
Randy says he told Cody he would do whatever it would take to win in Saudi Arabia and that he would not hesitate. He says he had Cody down and beaten and he was ready to rearrange his skull. Randy says he hesitated but Cody did not. He says Cody pulled the trigger. Randy says he respects Cody for that. He says there is one thing he asks of Cody. He promises Cody that he will not squander this opportunity and go to SummerSlam and kick John Cena’s ass.
Drew McIntyre’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage.
Drew tells them to shut up and he says they sound pathetic. When did the Beta Male energy take over the WWE? He says thank God the Alpha is back.
Drew tells Randy he lost because he hesitated on the kick. He lost the psychological battle months ago when Cody talked about how much he respected him and then he got stabbed in the back. Drew mentions Randy’s back and he asks him about when he tweaked the back and how someone came after him like a shark smelling blood in the water. You couldn’t do it when you had the chance? What happened?
You were kicking Hall of Famers years ago and Drew says he had to save everyone from you. Drew says that Randy Orton is dead.
Drew turns his attention to Cody. He says he wants Cody to win at SummerSlam so he can be the next WWE Champion. Drew says this is a match he wants. This is twenty years in the making. They have parallel careers. Drew says he wants to be the one to rip it out of your hands. Drew says he won’t hesitate… unlike somebody.
Drew turns around and Randy gives him an RKO.
Backstage:
Charlotte Flair approaches Nick Aldis, asking whether Tiffany Stratton has chosen her as the challenger for Evolution and requesting a title match. Nick explains that Tiffany will choose her own opponent, but he offers Charlotte a different opportunity — a Women’s Tag Team Title match at Evolution. The match will feature Charlotte teaming with a partner against B-Fab & Michin, and Piper Niven & Alba Fyre.
Alexa Bliss enters and says they don’t need to be friends to be tag partners. Charlotte responds that she doesn’t like sharing the spotlight. Alexa replies that Charlotte hasn’t been in the spotlight for quite some time. Nick tells Charlotte he’s making the best decision for her and questions whether Tiffany would actually pick her for Evolution.
Backstage:
Drew McIntyre walks in and tells Nick he won’t yell or complain. He says Randy Orton struck first and now he wants a match with Randy. Nick informs Drew that Randy has already left the building, but offers him a match against Orton at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Jacob Fatu then appears and locks eyes with Drew, who exits the scene. Nick turns to Jacob and tells him he can’t go after Solo and his group alone. He says if Jacob finds a partner, he can face two members of The Bloodline. Jimmy Uso arrives and declares that Jacob already has a partner.
Charlotte Flair & Alexis Bliss vs the Secret Hervice in an Evolution Tag Title Qualifying Match
Piper, Michin, and Alexa start things off and Flair tags herself in. Piper knocks Alexa down and Flair with a forearm to Piper and a boot to knock Fab off the apron. Michin it a waist lock on Flair and Flair with a back elbow. Piper grabs Flair and Flair with chops. Michin with chops and forearms to Flair. Flair with a kick and Michin with a back heel kick to Flair and a round kick to Piper. Michin with a rolling kick to lair. Flair with a Flair flip and kick to Michin on the apron. Piper knocks Flair off the apron and Michin with a suicide dive in the general area of Flair and Alexa. Piper with a cannonball to Michin and Fab.
Alba with a double jump senton onto everyone else.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Piper with a back senton to Flair for a near fall. Piper misses a back senton on Michin and Fab tags in. Fab with forearms to Flair and a punch. Fab with a thrust kick to Piper and an enzuigiri to Flair. Fab with kicks to Piper and Flair. Fab goes for a neck breaker but Flair counters and clips her. Fab kicks Charlotte into the corner and Alexa tags in and she hits shoulder tackles on Alba and hits a dragon screw on Fab. Alexa with kicks and knees to Alba and a drop kick to Fab. Alexa with a blockbuster to Alba. Alexa sets for Sister Abigail on Fab but Michin with a thrust kick to stop Alexa.
Alba with a destroyer to Michin. Fab with a uranage to Alba. Piper with a Black Hole Slam to Fab. Piper helps Alba up and Alba goes up top but Alexa pulls Alba off the turnbuckles. Flair with a spear to Piper and she goes up top for a moonsault. Flair pats Alexa on the top of the head and the referee considers it a tag. Flair with a moonsault onto both and Flair kicks Green off the apron.
Alexa with Twisted Bliss for the three count.
Winners: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss
After the match, Charlotte realizes what she did at the end of the match, and she hugs Alexa.
Backstage:
Nick Aldis is in HALLWAY with Non-Wyatt Relevant tag teams and he yells at them for getting involved. Ciampa says everything they have done has been to save the tag division. Gargano says they were put into an impromptu match. Frazer says they had fun watching them lose. Nick makes the tag match for Frazer and Axiom to face Andrade and Fenix.
Nick tells everyone else that they want a piece of the Wyatts. He says one member of each remaining team will be in an eight man tag match while the non-competing members will watch the match with Nick. He says if the Wyatts win, they are back in the tag title picture because they are not going anywhere. No one wants to listen to Gargano as they walk away.
Uncle Howdy, Joe Gacy, Erick Rowan, and Dexter Lumis vs. Humberto Carrillo, Chris Sabin, Johnny Gargano, and Montez Ford
Gacy and Humberto start things off and Humberto with puches. Gacy with a waist lock and Humberto with a springboard cross body after blocking an O’Connor Roll. Humberto with a clothelsine but Gacy with a clothesline and a back senton for a near fall. Gacy with an Irish whip and Humberto floats oer and he hits a springboard back elbow. Lumis tags in and Humberto with a round kick. Lumis tosses Humberto to his corner and Gargano tags in and he says he has everything and will talk some sense into Lumis.
Gargano gives a thumbs up and Lumis with an uppercut and a uranage for a near fall. Sabin breaks up the cover and Howdy comes into the ring. All eight are in the ring at the same time. They pair up and throw punches. Rowan grabs Humberto and Gargano but Sabin and Ford stop him. They hit many super kicks including a quadruple one. Ford with an enzuigiri to knock Rowan off the apron and he kicks Rowan. Rowan catches Ford off the apron and Lumis with a super kick.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Gacy tags in. Gacy with a clothesline to Ford and a punch. Lumis tags in and he slams Ford and Gacy power bombs Lumis onto Ford for a near fall. Lumis works on the neck. Ford powers out of the hold but Lumis with a punch and he knocks Gargano off the apron. Sabin tags in and he punches Lumis and he goes up top and hits a missile drop kick. Gacy tags in and Sabin with clotheslines and a head scissors take down. Sabin with a back body drop to Lumi and he sends Howdy and Rowan to the floor. Gargano kicks Lumis in the corner and Gacy knocks Gargano off the apron.
Sabin with La Magistral for a near fall. Ford sends Lumis to the floor along with Gacy. Ford with a flip dive onto Lumis and Gacy. Humberto is sent to the floor by Howdy. Howdy leans in the corner after escaping an O’Connor Roll. Howdy with a uranage and Rowan is tagged in. Rowan with a spinning heel kick to Ford and he knocks Humberto off the apron. Rowan runs into a boot and Sabin with a tornado DDT.
Gargano gets on the apron and Sabin goes to make the tag but Gargano goes to the floor and Rowan hits a splash to the back and follows with a running cross body and a claw slam for the three count.
Winners: Wyatt Sicks
We Hear from Giulia
Giulia says she knows what the title means. One by one, opponents will come to her and one by one they will fail. She says she did not get here by luck. Giulia says blue flames don’t flicker, they burn everything down. She says she’ll take this title where no one has dared to go. No Mercy. No Doubt, No Frear. With fire and fury, her way. Whoever is next, stp closer. You’re about to feel the heat of Beautiful Madness.
In the Arena:
Tiffany Stratton makes her way to the ring and asks what time is it. She says since becoming champion, there has been a target on her back. Nia Jax’s revenge was not going to keep her from being the Last Woman Standing. She says she will face Jade Cargill at SummerSlam. Tiffany says she will also defend her title at Evolution. Since Iyo Sky got to pick her opponent, Tiffany gets to pick her opponent.
Jade Cargill makes her way to the ring and she has her crown.
Jade says Tiffany looked like a champion beating Nia and she gives her respect. She says Tiffany was barely standing while Jade was standing tall as Queen of the Ring. She tells Tiffany if she chooses wrong, you won’t be at SummerSlam. She says it doesn’t matter who she faces, she is coming out with the title.
Tiffany says she has a surprise for everyone and here comes Trish Stratus.
Tiffany says she invited Trish because they teamed at Elimination Chamber and she thought what would Evolution be without Stratusfaction. She offers Trish the title match at Evolution.
Jade says if Tiffany wants to choose Trish, it doesn’t matter if it is you or a legend at SummerSlam.
Trish says she did not expect that. Trish thanks Tiffany and she says Evolution means so much for her. They used to have to fight for a single match on the card. Now, they have an entire card of incredibly talented women. She says careers are made of moments and you gave me one by letting me wrestle in front of my kids. Trish says her kids have never seen her as champion. It has a good ring to be an eight time champion.
Tiffany says she wants to make one thing clear. This won’t be easy because this isn’t the Attitude Era. Trish says she wants it to be a fight because she has evolved. Tiffany says they will both find out that WWE runs on Tiffy Time.
Backstage:
Solo is in the conference room with Mateo and Loa standing behind him. He wishes America a Happy Birthday on behalf of their United States Champion and says he hopes everyone is ready for fireworks because they’re going to celebrate.
Solo then introduces the newest member of the group — Tala Tonga. Tala appears between JC and Loa.
Solo says they’re now stronger and more dangerous than ever. If Jacob Fatu wants to interfere in their business, he tells Loa and Tala to stand down, because he and JC will handle it. He declares that his family is complete.
Backstage:
Trish walks in the hallway. Jade stops Trish and Jade mentions that it appears that Trish has a title match at Evolution and she likes that. Jade says if Trish wins, she will be seeing her. Trish says she will see her at SummerSlam.
Naomi attacks Jade from behind with the briefcase. Naomi tells Jade she should have proceeded with caution and she laughs maniacally before leaving. Nick shows up to check on Jade and Jade tells Nick to give her Naomi.
Andrade & Rey Fenix vs Fraxiom
Frazer and Andrade start things off and they lock up. Andrade with a wrist lock and razer with a reversal and arm wringer. Frazer with a La Magistral for a near fall. Frazer with a side head lock. Frazer avoids Andrade and hits a forearm. Axiom tags in and they both hit a series of clotheslines. Rey tags in and hits a springboard clothesline to Frazer. Axiom with a tornado DDT but Rey is able to pop up. They pair up and exchange forearms. Rey and Andrade with forearms and clotheslines to Axiom and Frazer. Frazer sends Andrade to the floor and he hits a suicide dive while Axiom does the same to Rey. Frazer with another suicide dive and Axiom with another one to Rey.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Frazer with a front face lock. Axiom tags in and Rey with an elbow to Axiom and a kick to Frazer. Frazer with a suplex and Axiom with a kick to the back of the head for a near fall. Axiom with a seated abdominal stretch. Rey with a kick to try to get out of the hold. Rey with a waist lock and a round kick to the temple. Rey with a forearm but Axiom keeps Rey from making the tag. Rey kicks Frazer off the apron and he hits a rolling leaping DDT and both men are down.
Andrade and razer tag in nd Andrade with a forearm to Frazer and a clothesline to Axiom. Andrade with a dragon screw to Frazer and a flying forearm to send Axiom to the floor. Andrade with a suplex and he holds on for a second one. Andrade holds on and hits the third Amigo and Rey tags in and goes up top for the frog splash and hits it for a near fall. Rey goes up top and Frazer with a jumping kick and he skins the cat back into the ring. Rey and Frazer exchange forearms on the turnbuckles. Frazer is pushed off the turnbuckles and he lands on his feet and he knocks Andrade off the apron. Frazer leaps up and hits a superplex and Axiom tags in.
They hit Chasing the Dragon for a near fall when Andrade breaks up the cover.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Rey knocks Axiom off the turnbuckles and he hits a springboard drop kick. Frazer misses a Phoenix Spalash when Rey moves. Rey kicks Axiom to the floor. Rey with elbows to try to get out of the waist lock. Andrade tags in and Rey with a German suplex. Andrade with the running double knee strike to Frazer for a near fall. Andrade goes up top for a moonsault and he hits the AndradeSault but Axiom breaks up the cover. Rey is sent into the ropes and before he can swing back into the ring, Axiom with a kick. Frazer with a thrust kick and Andrade with a kick. Frazer puts Andrade on the turnbuckles and Axiom tags in. Axiom with Spanish Fly and Frazer hits the Phoenix Splash but Rey breaks up the cover with a Codebreaker to Axiom. Rey is sent to the apron and Andrade with a kick to Axiom and a back elbow to Frazer. Rey kicks Axiom and then he hits a flip dive onto Axiom while Andrade hits The Message for the three count.
Winners: Andrade and Rey Fenix
Backstage:
Damian Priest sees Aleister Black in the hallway and he says Black is who he is looking for. He says he wants to talk about Truth. Black says it is over but Priest says that isn’t the way Truth sees it because they have a match next week on Smackdown. Black says he thinks Priest is setting his friend up, but he is the good guy so he wouldn’t do that. He tells Priest that Truth will be violence versus violence. Priest asks who told Black he was the ‘good guy’. Who told Black that Truth would be the victim to violence?
– Next week The Street Profits defend the Tag Titles against The Wyatts. R Truth faces Aleister Black.

Jacob Fatu & Jimmy Uso vs Solo Sikoa & JC Mateo
Fatu and Solo start things off and Solo tags Mateo in. Fatu knocks Mateo off the apron and then sends him into the ringside barrier. Fatu sends Mateo back into the ring and connects with a head butt. Jimmy tags in and he chops Mateo. Mateo with a leaping body block and kick. Solo tags in and he connects with a forearm to Uso. Solo with another forearm and Uso with a kick and he punches Mateo on the apron. Solo with a uranage and we go to commercial.
We are back and Solo with a running hip into the corner and he mocks Fatu. Solo stomps on the hand and Mateo tags in and applies a waist lock. Uso with a jaw breaker and Mateo with forearms and a clothesline followed by a moonsault. Mateo with an elbow into the corner. Mateo with an Irihs hwip but he misses an elbow in the corner. Uso with a Samoan drop and both men are down. Solo and atu tag in and Fatu and Solo exchange punches until Fatu takes over. Solo with a kick and Fatu with a clothesline and back senton. Fatu with head butts to Solo in the corner. Fatu with a running back elbow and a handspring moonsault that knocks Mateo off the apron. Fatu gets a near fall. Fatu with super kicks to Mateo and Solo and he hits running hip strikes on both men. Fatu goes up top and hits a swanton on Solo for a near fall when Mateo breaks it up.
Uso with a super kick to Mateo to send him to the floor. Uso with a suicide dive to Mateo. Fatu with a suicide dive to Solo. Fatu misses a splash in the corner and hits the ring post. Solo with a super kick and he sets for the Samoan Spike but Fatu avoids it and hits an Impaler DDT and a double jump moonsault for the three count.
Winners: Jacob Fatu and Jimmy Uso
After the match, Jacob kicks Solo to the floor and he adjusts the announce table. Fatu with a thrust kick to send Solo onto the announce table. Fatu goes up top and he sets for a frog splash from the ring through the table but Tala Tonga stops Fatu and choke slams him to the mat.
Jimmy punches Tala and Loa goes after Jimmy. Tala with a boot to Jimmy. Mateo with Tour of the Islands to Jimmy. Loa with a swinging neck breaker hanging over the apron to the floor.
They hold Fatu for Solo and Solo with a Samoan Spike.
Solo tells them to bring Fatu to the floor. They pick up Fatu for a Cerberus Bomb through the announce table.

With WWE Evolution set for July 13, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton is expected to name her next challenger for the all-women’s Premium Live Event. Stratton last defended her title on the June 28 episode of SmackDown, successfully retaining against Nia Jax in a grueling Last Woman Standing match.
Also on tonight’s show, Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill will appear following their major victories at WWE Night of Champions. Rhodes defeated Randy Orton to win the 2025 King of the Ring tournament, while Cargill beat Asuka to become the new Queen of the Ring. Both now have their sights set on championship gold at SummerSlam, with Rhodes targeting Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena, and Cargill preparing to challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship.
In addition, new United States Champion Solo Sikoa will be in the building after ending Jacob Fatu’s reign at Night of Champions. Sikoa had backup from JC Mateo, the returning Tonga Loa, and his newest Bloodline ally Hikuleo to secure the win. How he plans to assert his dominance going forward remains to be seen.
