7/30 ROH Spoilers – Former WWE Star Debuts – AEW’s residency at Chicago’s Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom is winding down, but Ring of Honor provided a few surprises during its pre-Dynamite tapings—including the arrival of a former WWE talent.
Oro Mensah, now going simply by Oro, made his Ring of Honor debut in a match taped for an upcoming episode of ROH on HonorClub. Oro faced off against New Japan veteran Tomohiro Ishii, ultimately coming up short in his first outing with the promotion.
Mensah was released from WWE this past May, ending a six-year run with the company. He competed on the NXT UK and NXT brands, where he held the NXT UK Tag Team Championship and was most recently aligned with the Meta-Four faction alongside Noam Dar, Lash Legend, and Jakara Jackson.

Oro’s move to ROH suggests he may be sticking around the AEW/ROH orbit going forward. His ROH debut continues a trend of former WWE talent finding new footing in Tony Khan’s ecosystem.
