Judgment Day Regain World Tag Team Gold on 6/30 WWE RAW – On the June 30 episode of WWE RAW, Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh recaptured the WWE World Tag Team Championships for the second time by defeating The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in a high-paced, dramatic showdown.
The match opened with Kofi offering a piece of bread to Finn Balor—a reference to past tag team humor—but Finn swatted it away, setting a serious tone. After some initial exchanges, JD McDonagh took over for Judgment Day and aggressively targeted Kofi with stiff kicks and a drop toe hold followed by a leg drop. Kofi tried to fight back but was neutralized as JD sent him outside and landed a kick from the apron.
Woods tagged in and brought momentum back to New Day with a double stomp and sledgehammer-like shots, but JD countered with a well-timed crossbody. JD nearly reached Balor for a tag, but Kofi and Woods employed smart strategy, pulling Finn off the apron to isolate JD.
Kofi unleashed a back senton off the apron on JD, then hit a diving chop for a near fall. Woods returned, but JD countered his powerbomb attempt with an X-Factor, leaving both men down. JD finally made the hot tag to Finn, who exploded into the match with rapid-fire offense—taking out both New Day members with double stomps and a Sling Blade.
Kofi fought back with a leaping stomp of his own and tagged in Woods. JD and Woods continued to trade offense, with JD hitting an Asai Moonsault to the floor, only to get caught with Woods’ boots after a top rope moonsault attempt. In the chaos, Finn tagged in but the referee didn’t acknowledge it immediately, causing confusion. The New Day nearly scored the win with the Midnight Hour, but JD kicked out just in time.
Kofi looked to end it with Trouble in Paradise, but Finn avoided it. Kofi then countered with an O’Connor Roll, but JD landed a punch during the kick-out. Finn rolled up Kofi for another near fall, and Woods took things further by nailing Finn with the title belt—yet it still wasn’t enough to secure the win.
As the match reached its climax, Finn hot-shotted Kofi on the ropes, causing Woods to get crotched on the turnbuckle. JD, using Kofi as a launchpad, leapt to Woods and delivered a Spanish Fly. Kofi broke up the pin at the last second, but was then taken out at ringside by a Sling Blade from Finn. JD and Finn closed the match with a moonsault-Coup de Grace combination, allowing Finn to pin Woods and regain the WWE World Tag Team Titles.
With this victory, Judgment Day begin their second reign as champions, regaining a foothold in the tag division after recent setbacks. The result also adds to the momentum of the faction as they continue to assert their dominance across WWE programming.
As of now, WWE has not announced the next challengers for the new champions, but with a stacked tag division and the road to SummerSlam underway, Judgment Day will surely be tested again soon.
