
John Cena Honored After WWE Night of Champions, Next Farewell Tour Date Confirmed – Following his hard-fought victory over CM Punk in the main event of WWE Night of Champions 2025, John Cena was honored in a special post-show ceremony in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 16-time world champion was presented with a ceremonial sword-style plaque by the organizers of Riyadh Season in recognition of his ongoing farewell tour.
“In honor of his final year in the ring, Riyadh Season presented a special plaque to wrestling legend John Cena,” read the official statement. The moment capped off an emotional evening that saw Cena retain the Undisputed WWE Championship in a chaotic showdown, which also featured interference from Seth Rollins and his faction.
WWE has now confirmed Cena’s next appearance will be on the July 18 episode of SmackDown from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. This will be Cena’s first television appearance since his match at Night of Champions, and it’s part of his ongoing “The Last Time Is Now” farewell tour.
Also confirmed for the July 18 SmackDown are 2025 King of the Ring winner Cody Rhodes, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, Randy Orton, LA Knight, and Charlotte Flair.

- August 29: SmackDown – Lyon, France
- August 31: Clash in Paris – Paris, France
- October 11: Crown Jewel Perth – Perth, Australia
- December (TBD): Final retirement match
