Two New Matches Announced for AEW Double or Nothing – AEW has added two exciting new matches to the Double or Nothing pay-per-view card set for May 25 at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
Nigel McGuinness will make his in-ring return by teaming with Daniel Garcia to face FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler). This rivalry grew out of FTR’s ongoing bullying of AEW broadcaster Tony Schiavone. After confronting McGuinness on the May 8 episode of Collision during Garcia’s singles match with Harwood, tensions boiled over when FTR attacked both men at Dynamite: Beach Break.
In another major addition, the AEW Tag Team Titles will be defended by the Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) against the Sons of Texas—Sammy Guevara and Dustin Rhodes. Guevara and Rhodes secured their title opportunity with a win over CRU (Lio Rush & Action Andretti) at Collision: Beach Break, highlighted by Guevara’s finishing GTH move on Andretti.
Here’s the current lineup for AEW Double or Nothing on May 25:
- Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Final: Will Ospreay vs. “Hangman” Adam Page
- Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Final: Mercedes Moné vs. Jamie Hayter
- AEW Women’s Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa
- Anarchy in the Arena: Participants to be confirmed
- Stretcher Match: Ricochet vs. Mark Briscoe
- Daniel Garcia & Nigel McGuinness vs. FTR
- AEW Tag Team Championships: Hurt Syndicate (c) vs. Sons of Texas
AEW Double or Nothing airs live on pay-per-view at 8 p.m. EST.
