Triple H Acknowledges Vince McMahon During WWE Hall of Fame Induction Speech – During his emotional induction speech at the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in Las Vegas, Paul “Triple H” Levesque took the opportunity to thank numerous influential figures from throughout his career — including his father-in-law, Vince McMahon.
McMahon, who has remained largely out of the public eye following the sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations brought against him in a 2024 lawsuit, was referred to by Triple H as both a mentor and family member. Acknowledging their complex relationship, Triple H described McMahon as instrumental in shaping both his wrestling and executive careers.
“When there’s somebody that helps you propel that far, you owe them so much. He taught me so much, what to do, what not to do. I’m so grateful for all of those lessons. I love you Vince, and thank you,” Triple H said, receiving a notable reaction from the crowd.
He also recognized his mother-in-law Linda McMahon, who was in attendance, and mentioned Shane McMahon, who was not present. Triple H paid tribute to his late parents, his sister, and his three daughters. Stephanie McMahon was visibly emotional as her husband thanked her during the speech.
Triple H saved particular praise for WWE President Nick Khan, whom he described as “the best businessman I’ve ever met.”
The speech was filled with gratitude for colleagues and friends from across generations of WWE and wrestling history, including William Regal, Terry Taylor, the members of The Kliq and D-Generation X, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, Mick Foley, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Evolution, Paul Heyman, and The Undertaker. He also made special mention of Terry Taylor, who was hospitalized earlier in the day but still managed to attend the ceremony — a moment that visibly moved Triple H.
Triple H’s induction headlined the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame class, which also included Michelle McCool, The Natural Disasters, and Lex Luger. Kamala, Ivan Koloff, and Dory Funk Sr. were honored as Legacy inductees, while the iconic WrestleMania 13 match between Bret Hart and Steve Austin was recognized as this year’s Immortal Moment.
