Shinsuke Nakamura Expected to Take Time Off – Former WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura is set to miss WrestleMania 41, as he is expected to be off television for the coming weeks.
Last Friday on SmackDown, Nakamura lost the United States Championship to LA Knight in the main event, marking the beginning of Knight’s second reign with the title. Following the defeat, speculation surfaced regarding Nakamura’s WWE future, with rumors suggesting a possible return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
However, those rumors have been debunked. WWE sources confirmed that there is no truth to Nakamura leaving the company, and Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio addressed the situation, stating, “When that story first broke, I immediately contacted WWE, and they immediately got back to me. The story they said was false was that Nakamura was leaving.”
In a separate update from Sportskeeda WrestleBinge via WrestleVotes, it was reported that Nakamura is expected to take a short hiatus from WWE television. As a result, he is not scheduled for any matches or storylines heading into WrestleMania 41. While his return timeline remains uncertain, there is no indication that he is departing WWE.
With no clear direction for him on the Road to WrestleMania, Nakamura’s absence leaves questions about his next move once he makes his eventual return.
