The injury reportedly occurred when Guevara attempted a cutter to counter Serpentico’s top-rope move but missed, causing Guevara to land on his head. The bout was stopped, and Serpentico was awarded the win.
Guevara was stretchered to the back, sparking concerns about his condition. Dave Meltzer noted on Twitter that Guevara likely sustained a concussion. However, Wade Keller of PWTorch reports that Guevara was later seen walking around on his own after being checked out, with no immediate signs of the earlier incident.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez shared that while initial concerns were significant, Guevara seemed to be doing okay in the trainer’s room. Alvarez added that Guevara would likely enter concussion protocol for further evaluation.
