Motor City Machine Guns Win WWE Debut – The Motor City Machine Guns made a triumphant WWE debut on the October 18 episode of SmackDown, securing a victory in their first match. Prior to the show, WWE aired a segment where Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin officially signed their SmackDown contracts.
Later, they faced A-Town Down Under and Los Garza in a triple threat match, with the winners advancing to the Number One Contender’s Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Sabin and Shelley delivered a standout performance, displaying their renowned in-ring chemistry and picking up the win, earning the chance to advance.
Earlier in the night, #DIY faced the Street Profits and Pretty Deadly in another qualifying match. A controversial finish saw both #DIY and the Street Profits score a pinfall simultaneously, but #DIY were declared the winners because the Profits didn’t pin the legal man.
With these results, the Motor City Machine Guns will now face #DIY in a Number One Contender’s Match on the October 25 episode of SmackDown. The winner will move on to challenge The Bloodline, the current WWE Tag Team Champions.
