Odyssey Jones Debuts on WWE RAW, Aligns with New Day – On the August 5 edition of WWE Raw, Kofi Kingston made a significant return from injury, teaming up with Xavier Woods to take on the Authors of Pain. During the match, Karrion Kross attempted to interfere, but his efforts were thwarted when Odyssey Jones made a dramatic entrance, taking out Kross and leveling the playing field.
With Kross neutralized, Woods secured the win for The New Day, pinning Rezar with a leg trap pin. After the match, Jones further helped The New Day by taking out Akam and Rezar, and delivering a Black Hole Slam to Kross, much to the crowd’s delight.
In a backstage segment post-match, Kingston revealed that he and Jones had met during Kingston’s injury rehab at the WWE Performance Center. Meanwhile, Woods appeared uneasy about Jones’s involvement in their business.
Jones was drafted to Raw in the 2023 WWE Draft and was selected by the brand again in the 2024 WWE Draft. Kingston’s return marked his first televised appearance since June 24, though he did wrestle in four matches during WWE’s Japan tour in late July.
