Rob Van Dam Suggests WWE Approval for AEW Appearances – Rob Van Dam made a surprise appearance on the August 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he issued a challenge to FTW Champion Jack Perry for a title match. Despite losing the match, speculations persist that Van Dam might make another appearance at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view.
Addressing fans on Twitter who suggested he had acted against WWE’s interests by appearing on AEW programming, Rob Van Dam responded. He hinted that he had received WWE’s permission for his actions and wondered if fans would be surprised if he revealed this fact. He expressed his decision to keep the details to himself for now.
“Some fans are saying I did WWE wrong by appearing on AEW. I wonder if they would all eat shit f I revealed that I had permission to do it? Or would they just move on to puke out the next meaningless bullshit that comes out of their mouths? Yeah, I figured. I’ll keep it to my self for now.”
Before his recent appearances in AEW, the WWE Hall of Famer had not competed on U.S. television since his departure from IMPACT Wrestling in 2020. He has continued to engage in semi-regular wrestling activities for various promotions.
Rob Van Dam boasts an impressive career record, having held titles such as WWE Champion and TNA World Heavyweight Champion, alongside numerous other accomplishments.
