Big AEW Match Being Hold Until Double Or Nothing – In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk regarding AEW’s Forbidden Door show with NJPW in June, All In at Wembley Stadium in August, and All Out in September.
However, AEW’s pay-per-view event, Double or Nothing, is right around the corner as it takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 28th, 2023.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the plan right now is to “hold off the first Keith Lee vs. Swerve Strickland match until the PPV.”
These two stars have been feuding in recent months after losing the Tag Team Titles and Swerve ultimately turning on Lee.
Based on angles done over the past few weeks on Dynamite and Rampage, it appears the promotion is building towards AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF vs. Darby Allin vs. Jack Perry vs. Sammy Guevara, something with the BCC vs. The Elite in an eight-man tag team, Chris Jericho vs. Adam Cole and AEW TBS Champion Jake Cargill vs. Taya Valkyrie.
