Former WCW Star Daffney Passes Away – Shannon Spruill, known for her work in professional wrestling as “Daffney,” passed away on Wednesday night at the age of 46.

Spruill’s death was confirmed by SHIMMER Wrestling on behalf of an announcement made by her family.

“We are very sad to have to announce the passing of Shannon Spruill aka Daffney Unger @screamqueendaff. We are posting this at the request of her family. Please respect their privacy at this trying time. I will miss you my logical sister from another mister.”

Daffney appeared incredibly distraught during a live stream on Wednesday and plenty of people were worried. She was crying and speaking about suicide.

Mick Foley tweeted out to plead with anyone who can help reach Daffney, “If anyone has a way of reaching Daffney Unger, or knows her address, please help out. She’s in a bad personal place and is threatening to harm herself. My phone call went straight to voicemail.”

Crowbar also sent out a desperate plea for anyone to get in touch with her, “Been Trying to text / call Daffney non stop – her vm is full, I do not know her address if anyone does please call the police.”

Sean Ross Sapp later tweeted out to say, “For those concerned about Daffney, emergency services have been contacted and sent to her most recent known address. Her family have been reached, and have her current address. She’d moved in the past couple of weeks. Police have been dispatched.”

According to TMZ, police tried to locate Daffney, but they were unsuccessful. They showed up to her old address as well, but thy have yet to make contact with her.
