The tag team division saw a title change in Saudi Arabia, as Penta Je’Von Evans won the World Tag Team Championships following a chaotic championship match against The Vision at WWE Crown Jewel.
The bout featured heavy interference from Bronson Reed, a dramatic arrival by Oba Femi, and a high-flying sequence of signature moves to crown new titleholders.
Early Match Control and Mid-Match Dominance
Je’Von Evans and Austin Theory opened the contest trading quick strikes. Penta tagged in early, rocking Theory with a superkick before Evans landed a hurricanrana:
- Penta and Evans cleared the ring, leaping over the top rope to take out both Theory and Bron Breakker on the floor.
- Evans connected with a Frog Splash on Theory for a two-count.
- Breakker tagged in and seized control, driving Penta spine-first into the corner and executing a German suplex.
- Theory assisted Breakker with a double underhook suplex, wearing down Penta until Evans secured the hot tag.
- Evans hit a head kick on Breakker, setting up a Sling Blade and modified Bronco Buster from Penta, capped off by a standing moonsault from Evans.
Interference, Outside Chaos, and Oba Femi’s Arrival
Penta dropped Theory with a sharp DDT, but Maxxine Dupri placed Theory’s foot on the bottom rope to stop the count. While Dupri distracted the referee, Bronson Reed sprinted down to attack:
- Reed dragged Penta under the bottom rope and executed a Death Valley Driver on the floor.
- Reed then clotheslined Evans over the barrier into the timekeeper’s area.
- The Vision capitalized with a Doomsday Device inside the ring, but Penta kicked out at the last second.
The arena lights abruptly went dark. When the lights returned, Oba Femi’s music hit, and the powerhouse marched down the ramp to confront Reed. Femi overpowered Reed, launching him off the entrance stage directly through a table below.
Dynamic Finish Crowns New Champions
With Breakker distracted by Femi on the stage, Evans tagged back into the match. Penta flattened Theory with a spinning Mexican Destroyer in the middle of the ring.
Evans immediately followed up, soaring off the ropes with an OG Cutter on Theory to score the pinfall victory and capture the tag team titles.
