In the wake of a brutal assault that sidelined his brother Jeff, Matt Hardy will join forces with Moose to confront syX in a marquee tag team match at TNA Destination X on November 15.
The alliance was formalized during the November 5 episode of TNA iMPACT on AMC, following weeks of rising tension and calculated ambushes by the menacing duo of Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw.
Retaliation Sparked After Brutal Slaughterhouse Attack
The animosity stems from the October 29 Slaughterhouse syX match, where Sawyer and Shaw targeted Jeff Hardy by placing a steel trash bin over his upper body before striking him with axes.
Opening the November 5 show, Moose addressed the ring to call out the faction, declaring his intention to shift his full focus toward ending their reign of terror:
- The Ambush: Sawyer and Shaw swarmed the ring to overwhelm Moose in a two-on-one assault.
- The Equalizer: Matt Hardy sprinted to the ring armed with a steel pipe, forcing the attackers to retreat into the crowd.
- Official Challenge: Later in the evening, Moose and Hardy confirmed backstage that they will join forces at the upcoming pay-per-view event in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
