The mystery surrounding TNA’s recent backstage attacks finally came to an end when Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw stepped forward as the culprits. Now known collectively as Syx, the duo revealed themselves after weeks of ambushing members of the roster, including Matt and Jeff Hardy.
The Hardys confronted the attackers and demanded answers. Syx responded by jumping them again, making it clear their motives were personal and violent. On the October 1 edition of Thursday Night iMPACT, Syx entered the ring and explained why they targeted the locker room. Their message was simple: they believe TNA has grown weak, and they intend to tear it apart.
Matt and Jeff Hardy didn’t wait long to fire back. The brothers interrupted Syx and issued a challenge for Bound For Glory on October 11. Matt pushed the stakes higher by calling for a Falls Count Anywhere match, turning the showdown into a fight that can spill anywhere inside the Chartway Arena.
Before Bound For Glory arrives, The Hardys will have another major test. On the October 8 episode of Thursday Night iMPACT, they will challenge Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth for the TNA World Tag Team Championship. The match adds another layer to their busy schedule heading into the pay‑per‑view.
A vignette also confirmed that Mickie James will appear at Bound For Glory. James last wrestled for TNA at Rebellion 2026, teaming with ODB and Taryn Terrell in a losing effort against The Elegance Brand. Her return adds another notable name to the event.
