TNA Wrestling is reportedly eyeing major additions to its roster, with creative pitches surfacing for two former members of The Wyatt Sicks.
Following initial reports that TNA held “serious interest” in talent from the former WWE faction, new details from PWInsider indicate that Joseph Sawyer (fka Joe Gacy) and Samuel Shaw (fka Dexter Lumis) have been actively discussed internally for potential storylines.
Independent Success and Tag Team Momentum
Since their release from WWE in April following WrestleMania 42, Sawyer and Shaw have maintained strong momentum across the independent circuit:
- Independent Tag Team Run: The duo has continued to team together post-WWE, capitalizing on the chemistry that saw them capture the WWE Tag Team Championship as members of The Wyatt Sicks on the SmackDown brand.
- GCW World Title: Sawyer has carved out significant singles success as well, winning the GCW World Championship.
- TNA History: A return for Samuel Shaw would mark a homecoming, as he previously spent five years with TNA from 2010 to 2015, most notably executing his memorable “creepy” stalker gimmick.
At this time, there is no word on whether TNA has extended similar interest to other former Wyatt Sicks members—Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, or Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy.
Bound For Glory Horizon
TNA’s tag team division is currently anchored by Nic and Ryan Nemeth, who captured the TNA World Tag Team Championship from The Hardys at Lockdown.
With TNA’s premier event, Bound For Glory, set for October 11, the promotion’s upcoming taping schedule provides ideal windows for potential debuts:
- Upcoming Tapings: September 24 and September 25.
- Post-Bound For Glory Tapings: October 13.
