Bully Ray Praises Jaida Parker’s Sudden WWE RAW Call-Up & Alignment With 946

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has shared his thoughts on Jaida Parker making a sudden jump from NXT to Monday Night RAW, arguing that skipping a mandatory NXT Championship run could prove to be the ideal blueprint for her main roster success.

Unannounced Main Roster Transitions

Speaking alongside Dave LaGreca on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray addressed Parker’s unexpected arrival on the September 28 episode of RAW, where she aligned herself with 946 during the broadcast’s dramatic closing angle.

Ray noted that Parker’s unannounced main roster debut mirrors the abrupt call-up strategy previously used for OTM, the faction she originally aligned with in NXT. Rather than keeping her in developmental to pursue singles gold, Ray believes her distinct style makes her an immediate asset to RAW:

“That’s kind of like the blueprint for how they do it. It wasn’t like that for OTM. OTM just showed up one day. Wasn’t like that for Jaida Parker. She just showed up last night. I have always been a Jaida fan. I think she looks the part, acts the part, works the part. I love her physicality. I love her credibility. Jaida, when Jaida talks, I believe everything she says. She’s got that street cred. She’s got that hard edge to her. She’s got that ‘I’m the baddest bee on the block’ cut in her eyes. And for the gang that 946 are forming and the vibe you get off that 946, I think Jaida is a great fit for that group.”

From ECW Arena To Monday Night RAW

Recalling the exact moment he became convinced of Parker’s main roster potential, Bully Ray cited her performance against Lola Vice in a hardcore match hosted at Philadelphia’s iconic 2300 Arena (formerly the ECW Arena):

“I hear the crowd going crazy, right? And it was because of Jaida Parker and Lola Vice and they were in a, they were in a hardcore match. And that’s the first time I really, you know, got a chance to see Jaida. And then learning a little bit more about her and really buying into her, into her promos. And I would say to myself, why is she still here? Why is she still here?”

Following impressive showings against veterans like Natalya and former NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan, Ray concluded that Parker had outgrown the developmental system and praised her first night on Monday night television:

“I think she’s done enough down there where it’s time for a new atmosphere, new sets of eyes on her. Let’s get her in the mix. Let’s put her in something that she can sink her teeth into. And I’ll be damned if last night wasn’t a great first night for Jaida Parker.”
