Cardona has been sidelined since the September 3 taping of WWE Main Event, where he suffered a torn tricep during a singles match against Kit Wilson.
Matt Cardona Tricep Injury Recovery Progress and Training
Taking to social media to update fans on his progress, Cardona detailed the rehabilitation routine and modified gym workouts he has implemented during his time out of action:
“I tore this tricep and got surgery just over two months ago,” he wrote. “I’ve been going to rehab and making up workouts in the gym to work around my injury.”
While Cardona feels his physical condition is improving steadily, he remains without a firm timetable for his official in-ring comeback:
“In my head, I’m ALMOST ready. I don’t know when I’ll be cleared to return to the ring, but I do know that I’M NOT FINISHED!”
With no official clearance date set by WWE medical staff, Cardona continues his daily rehab regimen stateside as he targets a full recovery.
