Following its acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, WWE is preparing a major global licensing and merchandise expansion for the iconic Mexican promotion.
According to a report from Fightful, WWE has orchestrated several new licensing agreements involving the AAA brand that have either recently launched or are slated to debut in the near future.
Expanding Topps, Funko, Fidget Toys & WWE 2K Integration
The merchandise initiative signals a deep operational integration of AAA talent across WWE’s global retail footprint:
- Collectibles & Toys: AAA branded items have already been unveiled for the QuBee fidget toy line and Big Shots collectibles, with additional retail partnerships currently in development.
- Trading Cards & Pop Culture: Key AAA luchadores are expected to feature in upcoming Topps trading card sets as well as official Funko Pop! vinyl figure releases.
- Console Gaming: Looking further ahead, select AAA stars are reportedly slated to be fully playable in the upcoming WWE 2K27 video game release.
TV Rights Strategy Ahead Of 2027
This extensive licensing roll-out aligns with broader corporate strategy as WWE negotiates international broadcasting partnerships. Reports indicate that AAA could land a major new television distribution deal beginning in 2027, leveraging WWE’s global reach to establish the luchalibre brand across new media markets.
