Scorpio Sky’s long-term future with All Elite Wrestling remains a significant topic of discussion within the industry, as the former champion’s contract nears its end without a confirmed renewal.
According to a recent report from Fightful Select, Sky had not signed a new contract with AEW as of the All Out pay-per-view. With his original deal previously reported to expire at some point during October, the AEW original finds his roster status in limbo as time continues to tick down on his current agreement.
While his presence on flagship television programs like AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision has been scarce, Sky has maintained an active in-ring schedule on Ring of Honor television. In addition to securing singles wins, he has been aligned with Dante and Darius Martin in the “SkyFlight” trio, working alongside the rest of Top Flight and Flight Caviar.
An Original AEW Cornerstone at a Career Crossroads
Sky holds a distinct place in All Elite Wrestling history, having been with the organization since its launch in 2019. Alongside Frankie Kazarian as part of SoCal Uncensored (SCU), Sky became the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champion in October 2019. He later transitioned to a major singles push, capturing the AEW TNT Championship on two separate occasions.
Despite his early accolades, Sky’s booking on major AEW broadcasts scaled back considerably following his title reigns, leading to his recent primary placement within the ROH brand. With no extension officially finalized as October progresses, it remains to be seen whether the veteran will ink a last-minute extension with Tony Khan or explore options as a free agent in late 2026.
