WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque has joined the professional wrestling community in honoring the life of Benjamin Satterley, who passed away at the age of 40.
Known to global audiences as PAC in All Elite Wrestling and Neville during his tenure with WWE, Satterley’s passing was officially announced by AEW on Sunday, just one day following his match against Andrade El Idolo at AEW All Out.
On Monday morning, Levesque reflected on Satterley’s legacy, highlighting his foundational role during the transformative early years of WWE NXT.
Honoring An NXT Pioneer
Taking to social media, Levesque shared a photograph alongside Satterley from NXT Arrival in February 2014—the historic event where Satterley defeated Bo Dallas in a Ladder Match to win the NXT Championship:
“Saddened to hear about the death of Ben Satterley known in WWE as Neville. I had the pleasure of working with Ben in the early days of WWE NXT,” Levesque wrote.
Levesque emphasized the importance of that victory and Satterley’s broader contributions to shaping the identity of the brand during its initial expansion on the WWE Network:
“This moment, from NXT Arrival, marked the beginning of a new era for that brand and the men and women on it … and Ben was a major force behind that,” he added.
Closing his statement, Levesque remembered Satterley’s character both inside and outside the squared circle:
“He was an extraordinary talent and even kinder human being. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans across the world.”
A Trailblazing Career
Satterley’s impact on professional wrestling spanned across multiple major promotions and eras. After establishing himself as one of the world’s premier high-flyers on the independent circuit, he signed with WWE in 2012, becoming the inaugural NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Corey Graves before embarking on his standout 287-day reign as NXT Champion.
Transitioning to the main roster, Satterley became a focal point of WWE’s cruiserweight division, holding the WWE Cruiserweight Championship twice. Following his departure from the company in 2018, he joined AEW in 2019 as PAC, where he continued his championship success as an AEW All-Atlantic Champion and World Trios Champion.
No official details regarding the cause of Satterley’s passing have been released.
