The global professional wrestling community continues to process the sudden death of Benjamin Satterley, known around the world as PAC, who passed away at the age of 40 on Sunday.
Following official confirmation from All Elite Wrestling, a massive wave of tributes poured out on social media from performers across AEW, WWE, TNA, and international promotions, all honoring the legacy, character, and influence of the former champion.
Tony Khan And Industry Leaders Pay Respects
AEW President Tony Khan released an official statement honoring Satterley’s profound dedication to his craft, both inside and outside the ring:
“Benjamin Satterley defined excellence, as a beloved husband & friend to his many loved ones, + in his wrestling knowledge, skill, unprecedented athleticism, professionalism, consistency + dedication to the sport that he loved & traveled the world to pursue. May Ben rest in peace,” Khan wrote.

Peers from every corner of the industry expressed their grief and praised Satterley’s generosity and unmatched athleticism:
- AEW World Champion Will Ospreay: Expressed immense respect for his frequent rival, calling him “the greatest export from our country and also the greatest human being. Honoured to have shared the ring with you so many times. You truly are such a hero to myself and many others.”
- TNA Star Mustafa Ali: Reflected on Satterley’s leadership during their time together in WWE’s cruiserweight division, stating, “Long live the King. Ben protected and took care of the cruiserweight brothers every week. I will never forget his kindness. I will never forget the feeling of realizing he is the absolute best all around performer I have been in the ring with. I will never forget him standing up to the machine. I will never forget our King.”
- WWE’s Paul Heyman: Offered heartfelt condolences, writing, “Oh no. No no no no no no no.What a tremendous talent and even finer human being. My most profound condolences to all who knew him. A truly terrible loss!”
- WWE’s Saraya: Honored his character backstage, noting, “Fck man.. this is terrible. For everyone that knew Ben (pac) would tell you what an incredible human he was. Truly one of the best. - AEW’s Nick Wayne: Shared a personal memory from All Out 2024, recalling, “I told him after the match ‘That was very inspiring for someone like me to watch, I hope to one day be as good as you, man.’ He smiled, thanked me and said ‘Awh Nick, you’re gonna be better than me someday.’ For the next 2 years, the conversations, advice, and positive thoughts going into things is something I always cherished. To have someone that inspired me so heavily have so much belief in me, I almost couldn’t believe that it was HIM saying these thing to me. PAC is one of the greatest innovators and Professional Wrestlers to ever do it.”

Just 24 hours prior to his passing, PAC competed at AEW All Out, challenging Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship before later appearing in the main event alongside the Death Riders faction.
