“Scapegoat” Jack Perry targeted another former world champion during the September 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, directly calling out Samoa Joe and mocking his extended absence from television.
Continuing his ongoing crusade of seeking out past AEW World Champions, Perry addressed his recent string of losses. Rather than being discouraged by the setbacks, Perry insisted that testing himself against the top tier of the roster is inching him closer to his ultimate goals.
“Joe Is Going To Kill You”
Perry quickly turned his focus toward Samoa Joe, taking a direct shot at the former champion’s months-long hiatus:
- The Challenge: Perry issued a direct challenge for Joe to return to the ring and face him.
- The Message: As the segment concluded, the camera panned to reveal that Perry had spray-painted the iconic chant “Joe Is Going To Kill You” on the wall, turning the crowd’s legendary warning into a provocation.
Filming “Twisted Metal” Season 3
Samoa Joe has been absent from AEW programming since AEW Double Or Nothing in May, where he competed in a high-profile match against Will Ospreay.
During his time away from the ring, Joe spent much of the summer on location filming the third season of Peacock’s hit television series Twisted Metal, where he portrays the physical body of the iconic character Sweet Tooth. With filming wrapping up, Perry’s promo sets the stage for Joe’s highly anticipated return to the promotion.
