Trick Williams isn’t shy about his confidence on the microphone — and he believes his trash talk goes deeper than CM Punk’s. The two have crossed paths on WWE programming several times, with Williams most recently declaring he was coming after Punk’s WWE Title. A match hasn’t happened yet, but the verbal exchanges remain a hot topic.
Speaking with SHAK Wrestling, Williams was asked about potentially going toe‑to‑toe with Punk on the mic.
“CM Punk is one of the greatest of all time. He’s proven that. He had his legendary moments, from talking to trash talking. But you gotta understand, I come from a long, long line of trash talking who’s been passed down from my cells since I was a little kid. It’s in my DNA to talk trash like only Trick Williams can.”
Williams added that Punk’s decades of wrestling experience don’t intimidate him.
“So if CM Punk thinks he’s ready because he has 30 years of wrestling and WWE experience, he has to understand my trash talk goes back for decades and decades, all the way back to times that none of us were born. I’m that level of trash talker.”
Whether the two eventually meet in the ring or on the microphone remains to be seen, but Williams clearly believes he’s ready for the moment.
