Santino Marella says he can wrestle again — and wants to step back into the ring so his seven‑year‑old son can finally watch him compete live.
Speaking with Cody Rhodes on What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Marella credited stem cell treatments, PRP and red‑light therapy for improving his condition, noting that his body is no longer holding him back.
“My wrestling career ended because I was not capable. I’m capable again,” Marella said.
Marella’s in‑ring career effectively wrapped in 2014 following neck surgery and ongoing issues with degenerative discs in his lower back. Those problems kept him out of the ring for years, even as he remained involved in wrestling through coaching and producing.
Now serving as TNA’s Director of Authority, Marella said working behind the scenes has helped him fall in love with wrestling all over again — and that renewed passion is fueling his desire to return.
