Jody Threat’s time with TNA Wrestling has come to an end after she requested her release from the company. The departure was described as amicable, closing out a run that lasted more than three years and included championship success, a lengthy match record, and a steady presence across the Knockouts division.
Threat finished up with the promotion during last week’s Impact tapings, marking her final appearance with a loss to Jada Stone in the opening round of the Knockouts TV Title tournament. While the match itself didn’t signal anything unusual at the time, confirmation soon followed that it would be her last outing under the TNA banner.
Threat’s Run in TNA and What Comes Next
Threat joined TNA in March 2023 and quickly built momentum with a six‑match winning streak that eventually led to a showdown with then‑Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo. Over the course of her tenure, she competed in 55 matches and captured the Knockouts Tag Team Championship twice alongside Dani Luna. Her work across the division helped establish her as a reliable presence, both in singles competition and tag team settings.
Outside of TNA, Threat has remained active on the Canadian independent scene, where she has long been a regular performer. She has also made appearances for various U.S. promotions, maintaining a schedule that keeps her visible beyond televised wrestling. With her release now finalized, she is expected to continue working in those environments while exploring new opportunities.
Threat’s exit adds to a growing list of departures from TNA in recent months. Names such as Mike Santana, Victoria Crawford, Sinner & Saint, and Steve Maclin have all moved on from the company this year. Mara Sade is also reportedly a free agent, leaving questions about her next steps as well.
For Threat, the split appears to be straightforward and without conflict. Her departure closes one chapter while opening the door for whatever comes next in her career, whether that involves more independent work or a move to another major promotion.
