Myles Borne is now carrying two championships in WWE NXT after he and Tavion Heights defeated Vanity Project’s Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes to win the NXT Tag Team Titles on the August 4 episode of WWE NXT. The victory capped off a fast‑paced match that saw both teams trade momentum before the challengers finally broke through.
Borne set the tone early by drilling Smokes with an Angle Slam and catching Baylor with a sharp dropkick. Heights followed by launching Borne into Baylor, but the champions answered immediately when Smokes connected with a top‑rope slingshot that sent Heights crashing to the mat. Vanity Project kept control with a jumping knee and a close count on Heights as the broadcast went to commercial.
The challengers regained steam after the break. Smokes and Baylor hit a neck‑snap and knee‑drop combination on Borne, only for Heights to storm back with a belly‑to‑belly suplex and a heavy clothesline on Smokes. Smokes then absorbed a dropkick‑powerbomb combo, but Baylor dove in to break the pin. Heights returned the favor moments later when Vanity Project landed a dropkick‑spinebuster combo on Borne.
The closing stretch saw outside interference backfire. Jackson Drake climbed onto the apron while Myka Lockwood tried to distract the referee. Instead, the official ejected both non‑competing members, leaving the champions without backup. Inside the ring, Smokes and Baylor collided accidentally, giving Borne the opening he needed. He planted Smokes with the Borne Again and sent Baylor to the floor. With Smokes isolated, Heights delivered the Height of Glory to secure the championship‑winning pin.
The win comes one week after Borne successfully defended the NXT North American Championship against Kam Hendrix, earning him and Heights the tag title opportunity. As members of the No Quarter Catch Crew, the duo previously challenged for the NXT Tag Team Titles in both 2024 and 2025. Vanity Project had held the belts since February, when they defeated DarkState to begin their reign.
