AEW has finalized the details for WrestleDream 2026, confirming that the annual pay‑per‑view will return to Florida later this year. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, and will take place at Addition Financial Arena, marking the promotion’s third major show in Orlando following Worlds End 2024 and Revolution 2022. Tickets for the event are set to go on sale to the general public on Monday, August 10.
The announcement continues AEW’s pattern of rotating its major events across different regions while maintaining a presence in markets that have historically supported the company. Orlando has long been tied to wrestling history, and AEW leadership made it clear that the city remains an important part of their long‑term plans.
Tony Khan Reflects on Florida’s Wrestling Legacy
Speaking with the Orlando Sentinel, AEW President Tony Khan shared his enthusiasm for bringing WrestleDream to the city. He referenced the deep wrestling roots in Florida and recalled one of the matches that influenced him as a young fan.
“One of the matches that I was so excited to see as a young fan trading tapes of wrestling on the internet, when I was in junior high, was Ric Flair vs. Barry Windham from the Battle of the Belts in Orlando,” Khan said. “That’s just one of so many great matches and rivalries in Florida, and we’re glad to add to that history.”
Addition Financial Arena, located on the campus of the University of Central Florida, seats approximately 10,000 fans and has hosted a variety of entertainment and sporting events. Its size and layout make it a suitable venue for AEW’s fall pay‑per‑view, which has grown in visibility since its debut.
WrestleDream was first introduced in 2023 as a tribute to Antonio Inoki, whom Khan has referred to as “pro wrestling’s greatest dreamer.” The event has since traveled to Seattle, Tacoma, St. Louis, and now Orlando. Last year’s edition featured an “I Quit” match between Jon Moxley and Darby Allin as its main event.
The 2026 show arrives at a time when fan speculation is already swirling around potential talent moves. WWE star Bayley’s contract is expected to expire before the end of the year, and Mercedes Moné previously shared a fan‑made graphic teasing a possible WrestleDream matchup between the two. Whether Bayley becomes available before October remains unknown, and there is no indication yet of her interest in exploring free agency. If she does, AEW would be among the promotions eager to negotiate.
AEW also confirmed its full pay‑per‑view schedule through November. All In and All Out will take place ahead of WrestleDream, followed by Full Gear in mid‑November. The lineup continues AEW’s tradition of spacing out major events across the late summer and fall months.
