Cody says he only came to wish Sami luck.
Gunther attacks Cody from behind and power bombs him through a table.
Gunther tells Sami that Cody is no longer his problem. He says Sami never should have won that title and promises he will come for him.
Gunther sends Cody into Sami’s car, leaving Cody bleeding.
Seth Rollins In‑Ring Segment
Seth makes his way to the ring and welcomes everyone. He reminds the crowd exactly who he is and says he loves this building.
The crowd chants for CM Punk because they’re in Chicago. Seth says he understands the requirement for that chant in this arena, but he couldn’t care less about Punk now. He says Punk is not his business anymore.
Seth says his business is the World Title and taking back the championship he never lost. His business is beating Roman Reigns and continuing to own him.
Seth acknowledges the Roman chants and says Roman isn’t here tonight. He says he’s run that play a million times and that’s just how it is. Roman didn’t come because either it does nothing for him or the check wasn’t big enough. Seth says that’s who Roman is and who he’s always been. From day one, Roman was the chosen one. The Shield debuted as a trio, but it was made clear Roman was the hand‑picked guy. Roman was going to be the marquee name, the main event, the WrestleMania headliner. It didn’t matter if Roman couldn’t cut a promo or wrestle his way out of a paper bag — it was always going to be Roman.
Seth says that never sat right with him. He points to some kids in the crowd and says he was that boy. He sat in those stands dreaming of walking down the ramp, holding a microphone, and main‑eventing WrestleMania. He wanted to be the biggest star in the industry. Seeing those dreams handed to someone else broke something inside him. Every decision he made after that was a direct response to watching his dreams handed to someone who didn’t deserve them.
Seth says when he broke up The Shield, it was to catch up to Roman. When he cashed in at WrestleMania, it was to stay close to Roman. It might sound petty, and it was. Seth says he believed if he worked harder and sacrificed more, he could still reach those dreams. He thought they were running the same race, but he was wrong. A few years ago, Roman said something that changed him. Roman admitted he worked ten times less than Seth and made ten times more. Seth says Roman said that with so much bravado he wanted to puke.
Seth says it was never about money or mansions on South Beach. The reward was the work. The hustle. The grind. The ability to make something of yourself. Roman has to beat him at SummerSlam because Roman needs to justify what he’s been trying to prove to himself for fifteen years. Roman needs to prove he’s not a fraud.
Seth says he needs to beat Roman just as much. He needs to prove that through hard work, sacrifice, and dreams, you can achieve greatness.
LA Knight interrupts.
Knight wants to talk to ya. He says there was no way he was sitting in the back for a second straight week. Last week, Roman came out and bored everyone to sleep, and then Seth came out and the two of them put the crowd to sleep together with the same old trash. Knight says they were bloviating all over each other. All they had to do was talk about how great they were and suddenly they both had a title shot. Knight says he had to win matches and tournaments to get title matches. Seth lost in the first round of the King of the Ring Tournament. Knight says he did too, but he didn’t walk out and challenge Roman Reigns for nostalgia’s sake.
Knight imitates Seth and Roman and asks what exactly they’re the greatest at. Knight says he hasn’t been here as long as Seth, and Seth has had so many title matches that Knight will never catch up. Knight says when business was picking up, it wasn’t Seth and Roman on top. Cody deserves some credit, but everyone heard the crowd chanting Knight’s name. Knight says he was making his rise, and then Seth and Roman cut him off. Now Roman is trying to shove him back to the bottom.
Knight says Seth wants to talk about what’s great. Seth is great at manipulating numbers. Knight says he will rise because he must rise.
Seth says he doesn’t like Knight, but he respects him. He says Knight is the exact example of everything he just talked about — hustle, hard work, and earning every inch. Seth says Knight’s time will come, but he can’t worry about Knight right now because he has to go to SummerSlam and win the title he never lost. Seth tells Knight that if he wants, he can challenge him after he wins the title, and Knight can be the first person he puts in the dirt.
Seth heads to the back. Knight turns around and Jimmy Uso blasts him with a super kick.

Paul Heyman Addresses Oba Femi
Paul Heyman comes out and introduces himself. He says he’s here to talk about Oba Femi. Oba walked into WWE acting like he owned the place — which he doesn’t. Paul says Oba saunters down the aisle like he’s King Shlong until he gets kicked in the little Femis. It makes your eyes water, your knees buckle, and your voice jump an octave. And that’s nothing compared to the pain he’s going to suffer inside Hell in a Cell.
Paul says Oba Femi has motivated Brock Lesnar. Oba made the biggest mistake of his life by accepting Brock’s challenge. Paul says Oba isn’t coming out of Hell in a Cell. Brock will destroy Oba Femi inside that structure.
Paul tosses the mic as the lights go out for Oba Femi to make his way to the ring.
Oba says Paul loves to talk so much, and that’s exactly why he came out — he didn’t want Paul to be lonely. He wanted to give Paul a face to talk to.
Paul says Oba learned last week that “talk s***, get hit.” Paul says he doesn’t talk trash, he states facts. He says his value comes from keeping people from making terrible mistakes. At WrestleMania, Oba didn’t make a mistake — he proved Brock Lesnar was beatable. But in Italy, Brock proved Oba is beatable too. Now comes the trilogy match, the one that decides which of them continues as that unstoppable superstar.
Paul says Oba needs to look at who he’s stepping into Hell in a Cell with — because he’s stepping into Hell in a Cell with Brock Lesnar.
Paul says nobody fights inside a cage like Brock Lesnar. He beat The Undertaker in Hell in a Cell — The Undertaker’s own match — and he beat him twice. Paul says Oba didn’t just accept a cage match, he accepted the cell… the Brock‑tagon. Brock is the bringer of pain, the beast Oba cannot beat, the mountain he cannot climb. Only one man will leave SummerSlam — and that cell — with his reputation intact. That man isn’t even a man, he’s a beast, and his name is Brock Lesnar. The beatable one will be Oba Femi.
Paul tosses his mic again.
Oba says Brock showing up last week tells him everything he needs to know. After weeks of calling him out and calling him names with no response, Brock finally appeared. That means every word got to him. Every single thing Oba said got under Brock’s skin. Brock can pretend he doesn’t watch the show, but showing up proves he does.
Oba says Paul is out here hyping Brock to do damage control, but he’s writing checks Brock can’t cash. Paul isn’t an advocate — he’s a mouth. And mouths need to be fed… but how can you feed a mouth with no head? Paul preaches Brock’s accolades, but the people Brock beat before were not Oba Femi. Paul is here because he’s scared. He’s here because Brock is scared. This is the end. This is the final chapter. This is where the book closes.
Oba says there’s no bigger stage than SummerSlam, in front of Brock’s friends, family, wife, and children. Brock is what stands between Oba and salvation. You have to walk through hell to get to heaven. Oba tells Paul to tell his client he will see him in hell.
Oba tosses his mic.
Jackie With Sami Zayn
Jackie is with Sami Zayn in the back.
She mentions Sami’s scheduled match, but Cody isn’t able to compete tonight. She asks for his reaction.

Pearce steps in and reminds Sami they’re in Chicago and they promised him a title match. Pearce tells Sami he will be defending the title tonight, and it’s official.

Byron asks about the match between Raquel and Sol and the group’s momentum. Liv says they are the greatest faction of all time. She says she is disappointed in Iyo Sky. Tonight was supposed to be Raquel’s night and Raquel should be champion. Raquel tells Sol and Iyo it is not over until they say it is over. She will not stop until she gets what belongs to her. Roxanne says Iyo wanted to make a statement tonight, and next week she will make a statement of her own — and Iyo won’t make it to SummerSlam.
Bayley and Lyra Valkyria Segment
Bayley says Lyra waited for hours at a signing just to meet her, and they talked about Lyra’s career. Bayley says she became a fan of Lyra and considered her a friend. When Bayley had the hardest year of her career, it was Lyra who kept her level‑headed and strong. Bayley shared her experiences and stories because she thought they were guiding Lyra — but Lyra used them against her. Bayley says Lyra took the easy way out. She gives Lyra one chance to prove she isn’t like everyone else and tells her to meet her next week.
