TNA Wrestling continues to undergo significant changes, as Tommy Dreamer and Sami Callihan have both departed the company in recent developments.
Dreamer confirmed his exit during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, revealing that he and TNA president Carlos Silva mutually agreed to part ways following a conversation earlier this week. His departure ends a long tenure with the company, where he contributed both on-screen and behind the scenes.
“Yesterday, I had a great conversation with Carlos Silva, and me and TNA are no longer in a relationship. We’ve mutually agreed to part ways.“
“I’ve given so much of my life to that company. I don’t have any ill will or malice. I want it to survive, and I want it to be the best it can be.“
“I love this business. It’s hard because I’m not going to be able to see the people that I helped. I had a lot of people help me follow my dreams, and I love that part about the business of what I did.“
“It was a 24-hour job. I think I had it for close to 10 years. Off and on, I’ve been in and out of there. I loved going to work. I did. But everything comes to an end.“
“I’m not crying because I’m mad or I’m emotional, but I know I’ll be okay, and I hope TNA will be okay.“
Creative Changes and Callihan Departure
Following Dreamer’s exit, there has already been movement regarding a possible replacement. Road Dogg has reportedly been discussed internally as a candidate to step into a creative role. Reports also indicate that the company had been in contact with him for several weeks, although earlier expectations suggested he could join the team rather than replace Dreamer outright.
In a separate development, Sami Callihan is also reportedly no longer with TNA. According to PWInsider, word circulating within the company indicates that Callihan has departed. He had transitioned into a backstage producer role after stepping away from in-ring competition last summer.
These departures come during a period of continued roster and structural changes within TNA. Tessa Blanchard was granted her release earlier this week, while former Impact World Champion Steve Maclin was also released earlier this month. Additional names, including Myla Grace and Dani Luna, have exited the company in recent months.
There is also ongoing speculation regarding the future of current TNA World Champion Mike Santana, with reports indicating that WWE has interest in signing him once his contract expires next month.
As TNA navigates these changes, the company appears to be entering a transitional phase both creatively and in terms of talent, with more updates likely in the weeks ahead.
