Jack Perry’s future in AEW is now under discussion as his current contract approaches its end. The situation has become one to watch, with talks already underway regarding a possible new agreement.
Bryan Alvarez recently provided a brief update on the matter, confirming that negotiations are ongoing. He stated, “Jack Perry’s deal is up and he’s currently negotiating.” While no additional details were shared, the update confirms that both sides are in active discussions.
Jack Perry AEW contract negotiations update
Perry last competed on the May 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he was defeated by Mark Davis in an Owen Hart Foundation Tournament match. That loss followed another setback earlier in the month, as Davis defeated him on May 9 during the Fairway to Hell special to capture the AEW National Championship.
Since debuting with AEW in 2019, Perry has gone through several changes in character and direction. He first gained recognition as Jungle Boy, forming Jurassic Express alongside Luchasaurus. The team became a regular part of AEW programming and helped establish Perry as a rising name.
In 2023, Perry shifted gears with a heel turn and later captured the FTW Championship. His run also included a major off-screen moment, as he was suspended following a backstage altercation with CM Punk. That incident led to Punk’s eventual departure from the company.
Perry returned in 2024 as part of a reworked version of The Elite. During that period, he added another title to his résumé by winning the TNT Championship. After dropping the title, he spent several months away from television through the fall of 2025 before making his return and aligning again with Luchasaurus.
With his contract now nearing its expiration, AEW faces a key decision. Perry has been featured across multiple storylines and has remained part of the company’s long-term plans. His development from Jungle Boy to a more established singles competitor reflects the investment AEW has made in him.
For now, negotiations continue, and no outcome has been confirmed. As discussions move forward, Perry’s next move will play a role in shaping both his future and AEW’s roster going forward.
