Sol Ruca Wins Women’s Intercontinental Title at WWE Clash in Italy

Sol Ruca Wins Women’s Intercontinental Title at WWE Clash in Italy – Sol Ruca captured the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WWE Clash in Italy, defeating Becky Lynch after weeks of escalating tension between the two.

The rivalry began on the May 4 episode of RAW during Ruca’s contract signing. Lynch interrupted the segment and argued that the spotlight should have been on her. The situation quickly turned physical when Lynch attempted to strike Ruca but accidentally hit Adam Pearce. Ruca responded by taking Lynch down with a Sol Snatcher, setting the tone for their feud.

Over the following weeks, Lynch continued to target Ruca through backstage interruptions and verbal attacks. The two eventually faced off at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV, where Lynch refused to put her title on the line. That match ended in disqualification after Lynch intentionally shoved referee Jessika Carr into Ruca to stop the match. Lynch continued the attack after the bell, which led to Nick Aldis announcing a championship match for Clash in Italy.

Their title bout took place as the second-to-last match of the night. Before the bell, Lynch confronted Carr again, showing frustration toward the official. Once the match began, Lynch attempted an early attack, but Ruca quickly took control.

Lynch regained momentum later in the match, hitting a top-rope leg drop for a near fall. Ruca fought back, countering an armbar attempt into a crossface. A delayed count from Carr during a roll-up attempt added more tension, with Lynch arguing with the referee again.

The action intensified as both competitors traded high-impact moves. Ruca hit a top-rope X-Factor for a close near fall. Lynch answered with a superplex, but Ruca countered a follow-up attempt with a superkick that left both women down.

Lynch later connected with a Manhandle Slam, but Ruca kicked out. In a turning point, Ruca delivered a Manhandle Slam of her own before hitting a sudden Sol Snatcher to secure the pinfall victory.

With the win, Ruca ends Lynch’s reign and leaves Clash in Italy as the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
