Liv Morgan Explains Why She Entered Queen of the Ring Despite Being Women’s World Champion

Liv Morgan is already at the top of WWE’s women’s division as Women’s World Champion, but she is not slowing down. Following WWE Clash in Italy, Morgan made it clear during the post-show that she is entering the 2026 Queen of the Ring tournament with one goal in mind—adding more gold and further proving her dominance.

Morgan addressed the field of competitors in the tournament and pointed out her past success against many of them.

“All these women had an incredible night—but you know what they all have in common? They’ve all been beaten by Liv Morgan.”

She then shifted focus to the criticism surrounding her championship reign. Morgan said the negative reactions and doubts about her legitimacy as champion only fueled her decision to compete in the tournament.

“So I was like, okay, let me expand upon this. It had me thinking about all the people who say Morgan isn’t a good champion—Liv Morgan doesn’t defend her title, Liv Morgan isn’t worthy of being champion. So you know what that made me think? That made me think I am entering the Queen of the Ring tournament because I want it all. I want it all.”

Morgan followed that with a confident message directed at her critics and the entire roster.

“Because I am the greatest Women’s World Champion of all time. You can cry about it—but if I were you, I’d watch me.”

WWE confirmed the 2026 Queen of the Ring bracket during the Clash in Italy post-show, and Morgan now faces a major challenge in the opening round against Becky Lynch.

The tournament lineup is loaded with top names, including Alexa Bliss vs Chelsea Green, Sol Ruca vs Lyra Valkyria, Charlotte Flair vs Jade Cargill, Roxanne Perez vs Iyo Sky, Giulia vs Lash Legend, Bayley vs Raquel Rodriguez, and Jacy Jayne vs Kiana James.

The Queen of the Ring finals are scheduled for June 27 at WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a SummerSlam title shot on the line.

Morgan’s decision adds a new layer to the tournament, as the reigning Women’s World Champion now looks to dominate a field filled with former champions and rising stars. Her first test comes immediately against Becky Lynch, in what could be one of the most important matches of the opening round.
