WWE SmackDown Results – March 20, 2026 – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage results of WWE SmackDown on March 20, 2026, from the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina!
Drew McIntyre is shown outside the arena, and chaos is already underway. People sprint past Jelly Roll’s illegally parked car just as Drew smashes the windshield and drags Jacob Fatu out of the vehicle. Drew hammers Fatu with punches and headbutts across the hood, opening Fatu up immediately.
Joe and Wade react on commentary, emphasizing the escalating violence between the two.
Drew storms into the arena and grabs a microphone. He says the only place he should be wrestling is the main event of WrestleMania, and Jacob Fatu took that from him. Drew says he came here to fight, and if anyone has wronged him, their ass is his.
Nick Aldis comes out and demands to know what’s wrong with Drew. He calls Drew the most self‑sabotaging person he’s ever known. Nick says he set up a match for next week, but Drew couldn’t keep his hands off Fatu. Aldis warns Drew he’s on the road to unemployment.
Drew fires back, saying he tried to quit and Nick would have loved that — Jacob would have loved that — everyone would have loved that. Drew says if Nick thinks he’s acting like a child, then Nick’s son should be ashamed of having a “corporate stooge” for a father.
Fatu suddenly charges past Aldis and tackles Drew. The fight spills to ringside. Fatu sends Drew into the barricade, then into the ring post, then into the steps. He launches Drew over the announce table and unloads with headbutts and punches.
Security floods the ringside area, but Fatu blasts through them like nothing. He climbs the barricade and hits a massive splash onto Drew, sending both men crashing through the announce table. Fatu pauses, “buffers,” then walks away as officials scramble around the wreckage.
Results for the March 20, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown continue after a commercial break.

Truth recovers with the splits and a leg lariat. Priest clotheslines Tama. Truth hits a Death Valley Driver on Mateo for the three count.

Backstage:
Brie Bella says the fans and the locker room keep overlooking the Bellas, and that’s a mistake.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair stroll in mid‑promo, casually eating ice cream. Charlotte tells them jumping the line for a title shot was a selfish move, and she makes it clear she and Alexa are next in line. She adds that they won’t hijack the Bellas’ match tonight — they don’t need the spotlight that badly.
The Bellas invite them to stick around and watch, and Nikki snatches Alexa’s spoon on the way out.
Backstage:
Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano are talking when Danhausen suddenly appears. He announces he’s here to lift the curse… but only if Johnny pays him twenty dollars. Before they can react, he vanishes as abruptly as he arrived. Alex Shelley walks into frame, only for Chris Sabin to remind him they’re due in the ring for their match.
After the commercial break, the results from WWE SmackDown on March 20, 2026 continue.
Backstage:
Cathy Kelley asks Sami Zayn for his thoughts on everything that went down last week.
Sami says he should be locked in on Aleister Black tonight, but his mind keeps drifting back to Cody Rhodes. He talks about how Cody always tries to do the right thing, always goes further than he needs to, and seeing him carried out on a stretcher, covered in blood, shook him. Sami says Randy Orton has always been someone he admired, which makes what happened even harder to process. The more Sami tries to live by his principles, the more the world around him seems to fall apart. Maybe the version of the world he believes in just isn’t real.
Trick Williams walks in and immediately brings up his win over Jacob Fatu last week, pointing out the look on Sami’s face. Sami tells Trick that he’s done plenty of talking lately — maybe it’s time to actually do something about it. Trick says he might swing by Sami’s match later and offer him a few pointers. Sami laughs at the idea and tells Trick to pay very close attention.
Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer)
Frazer and Alex Shelley open the match. Frazer grabs a quick headlock and stuns Shelley with a running boot. Axiom tags in and takes over with another headlock before Sabin enters. The Guns hit a double shoulder tackle and immediately turn their attention to Frazer on the apron. Shelley tags back in, they whip Axiom to the corner, but Axiom fights out with an elbow, a boot, and a dropkick that catches Sabin mid‑air. Frazer re‑enters with a kick to Shelley, and Axiom follows with a German suplex. The champions land stereo superkicks on both Guns.
Axiom and Frazer go for dives, but Shelley and Sabin sidestep and answer with superkicks of their own. Sabin launches himself through the ropes with a suicide dive that wipes out both challengers. Back inside, Shelley covers Axiom for two, then clamps on a cravate and drives knees into the head. A snap mare brings Sabin back in, and he drops a slingshot knee for another near fall. Shelley returns and the Guns hit a series of alternating elbows before a double splash nets another two count.
Shelley keeps Axiom grounded with a front facelock. Axiom fights free, but Shelley cuts him off with knees to the ribs. Sabin tags in, and Shelley sends Axiom straight into Sabin’s boots. They repeat the sequence with the roles reversed. Sabin re‑enters, Axiom kicks him away, but Sabin knocks Axiom to the floor. Shelley grabs an armbar on the outside, only for Axiom to counter by using the ring post to flip Shelley with an arm drag. Axiom trips Sabin, Frazer tags in, and hits a huge flip dive over both Guns. Frazer follows with a frog splash, but Shelley breaks up the pin.
Frazer kicks Shelley away and tags Axiom. Sabin meets him with an elbow, but Axiom sends Frazer into position and they connect with Chasing the Dragon for a close two count.
Sabin recovers, knocks Axiom off the top rope, then shoves Frazer down as well before hitting a double crossbody. Shelley tags in, Sabin boots Axiom to the floor, and Shelley scores another near fall.
Candice LeRae appears on the stage, catching Shelley’s attention long enough for him to tag Sabin.
Sabin hits a back heel kick, Shelley follows with a superkick, but Frazer fires back with a thrust kick to Sabin. Axiom and Frazer hit synchronized suicide dives on both Guns. Shelley yanks Axiom off the top rope. Frazer rolls Sabin up with an O’Connor roll, Sabin kicks out — and Candice punches Frazer behind the referee’s back. Sabin immediately capitalizes and gets the three count.
Winners: Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin
We will return after a break with more results from the March 20, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown.
In the Arena:
Randy Orton walks to the ring with no expression on his face. He retrieves the same steel chair he used in last week’s assault and sets it up in the middle of the ring before sitting down.
Randy says that for years, every time his music hit, the entire arena would sing along. He remembers the high‑fives, the autographs, the birthday signs he acknowledged — all the moments of connection with the fans. He says those moments used to make him smile, but lately that smile has felt completely hollow.
Randy explains that he’s been in WWE longer than most people in the building, and nothing lasts forever. He doesn’t want his legacy defined by fan interactions or sentimental moments. He wants it defined by championships — by how many times he’s held the world title. He reminds everyone he won the Elimination Chamber with the intention of facing Drew McIntyre, and he knew exactly what version of himself he needed to be to beat Drew.
Then Cody Rhodes won the championship. Randy admits he wasn’t sure he could become the man he’d need to be to take the title from someone he genuinely loves.
But last week changed everything. Cody took that weight off his shoulders. Cody asked for the best version of Randy Orton — the Viper, the Legend Killer, the man who listens to the voices in his head. Randy says the problem with listening to those voices is that he isn’t always in control. Sometimes he gets hurt just as badly as the people he hurts.
Still, if he wants his fifteenth world title, he needs that killer instinct back. He needs to embrace the part of himself he’s tried to bury.
Randy says he’s going to do it with the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment. He hears the voices again — they guide him, they understand him, and they’re telling him exactly what’s going to happen.
They’re telling him he will beat Cody Rhodes. They’re telling him he will become WWE Champion. They’re telling him it happens in the main event of WrestleMania.
The show goes to a commercial break. Results from the March 20, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown will continue shortly.
Backstage:
Randy Orton walks through the backstage hallway, and Rey Fenix, Angel Garza, and Humberto Carrillo immediately clear out of his path.
Matt Cardona steps into view. Randy tells him he doesn’t have an issue with him. Matt says he’s known both Randy and Cody for years — they’re practically brothers in his eyes. Randy stares at him and asks if he really has the nerve to say that right now. He mocks Matt, calling him an “indie nerd” and asking if he has any toys he should be playing with instead.
Randy suddenly blasts Cardona with a punch and warns him to stay out of his business.
Aleister Black vs. Sami Zayn
Before the bell even rings, the arena goes dark. When the lights return, Trick Williams is making his way down the aisle, immediately pulling the crowd’s attention.
Aleister Black jumps Sami Zayn at the start, but Sami answers with an arm drag. Black fires back with stiff forearms and kicks, then chops Sami across the chest. Sami responds with chops of his own and punches Black off the turnbuckles. A clothesline drops Black and Sami covers for an early two. Sami follows with an elbow to the back of the head.
Trick climbs onto the announce table, playing to the crowd, who are far more interested in him than the match. Sami notices and is clearly unimpressed.
Sami blocks a kick and levels Black with another clothesline. He steps onto the apron and catches Black with a back elbow, then climbs the ropes. Black cuts him off with a punch. Sami fights off a superplex attempt, but when he leaps for a chop, Black meets him in mid‑air with a knee strike for a near fall. Black strings together a kick, a back elbow, and a series of punches before dropping a leg for another two count.
They trade forearms until Black whips Sami into the corner. Black charges and runs into a boot. Sami rolls him up with a sunset flip for two, and Black immediately counters for his own near fall. Black unloads with kicks to the chest and more forearms. Sami fires back with punches, springboards over Black, but Black catches him with an elbow. Sami avoids a back heel kick, Black slips out of the Blue Thunder Bomb, and Black drills him with a jumping knee for another close call.
Black drops down into a kneebar and grapevines the leg, forcing Sami to scramble for leverage. Sami manages to roll him up for a quick two count, but Black answers immediately with a kick to the side of the head and a flurry of punches. Sami charges for the Helluva Kick and misses, allowing Black to crush him with a meteora for another near fall.
Black keeps throwing punches, but Sami fires back and clotheslines him over the top rope. Sami follows to the floor and repeatedly drives Black into the barricade before rolling him back inside. He lines up the exploder into the corner and connects cleanly. Sami backs up for the Helluva Kick, but Black bails to the floor right in front of the announce table.
Sami steps out after him and knocks Trick’s foot off the table, then slams Black onto the desk. He sends Black back into the ring — and Trick suddenly splashes Sami with his drink. Sami hesitates, then snaps and unloads on Trick with a barrage of punches.
Sami barely beats the referee’s count back into the ring… and walks straight into Black Mass. Black covers him for the three.
Winner: Aleister Black
Backstage:
Matt Cardona storms up to Nick Aldis and demands a match with Randy Orton tonight. Nick immediately shuts it down, saying there’s no chance he’s booking that after the chaos with Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu earlier in the night.
Carmelo Hayes walks in and asks about the open challenge. Nick tells him the spot is already taken — someone made a compelling case for the opportunity.
Ilja Dragunov steps up to Hayes and says he’s been thinking about what Hayes told him. Ilja admits he’s always fighting himself, and he’ll never become the man he wants to be unless he takes the risks that scare him. Hayes tells Ilja that one of them will be celebrating with champagne, and the other will be left dealing with the pain.
Results for WWE SmackDown on March 20, 2026 continue after a commercial break.
Backstage:
Nia Jax says the Bellas haven’t teamed in years and have never held tag team gold, so she doesn’t understand why they think they have even the slightest chance of winning now.
Lash Legend adds that the Bellas are acting like the center of the universe, trying to recapture their old spotlight. She points out that the entire division — Alexa & Charlotte, Bayley & Lyra, and the Kabuki Warriors — are all lining up for a shot at them.
Jade Cargill heads to the ring with purpose. She says she’s not wasting anyone’s time tonight and tells Rhea Ripley to get out there immediately.
Rhea’s music hits and she walks straight to the ring.
Rhea asks if they’re actually going to talk or if they’re finally going to do something about this. She says the talking phase is over.
Jade tells her this isn’t about what she wants — it’s about what Rhea needs. Rhea needs the championship. Jade says she doesn’t need the title, the ring, or the fans. Rhea has been grinding for years trying to become somebody, while Jade says she’s “that bitch” with or without wrestling. She’s not here for friendships; she’s here to make money.
Rhea says if Jade’s goal is to have no friends, she’s doing great. But Rhea lives for this business — she’s been doing it since she was sixteen. Jade cuts her off and says she doesn’t care about Rhea’s sacrifices or anyone else’s in the locker room.
Rhea stops her cold. She says she won’t let Jade disrespect her, the business, or the women who built it. If Jade thinks Rhea needs the title, she doesn’t understand anything. That championship needs her. And now Rhea wants it back — which is why she’s giving Jade a WrestleMania match. She welcomes Jade to the big leagues and tells her to take the first shot.
Jade shakes her head. Not on Rhea’s terms. Jade steps out of the ring, but B‑Fab and Michin appear and force her back toward the apron. Jade smirks as the two flank her.
They climb onto the apron. Rhea kicks B‑Fab off, but Michin cracks Rhea across the back with a kendo stick. Jade watches calmly as Michin and B‑Fab swarm Rhea. They hold Rhea in place, and Jade drills her with a thrust kick before planting her with Jaded.
Backstage:
Kit Wilson tells The Miz he’s perfected the “Miz Method” and is ready to deal with Jelly Roll. Miz vents about his disastrous family vacation — weather delays, a cramped middle seat, and a sunburn to top it off.
Danhausen suddenly appears, offering to help them take down “Jelly Jam.” Miz immediately shuts him down. A ladder crashes behind them, and Miz turns to Kit, telling him he’s handling Jelly Roll alone.
Backstage:
Solo Sikoa is pacing with anger, furious over losing the tag titles. He tells the group they can forget about WrestleMania. Mateo tries to blame the Wyatts for the loss. Solo snaps back that the responsibility is on them, not anyone else. Tama Tonga looks at the lantern and tells Solo to return it to the Wyatts. He says Solo hasn’t been the same since taking it — he’s been acting like Roman. Solo steps toward him and demands to know what he just said.
Before it escalates, Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu come crashing through the hallway, fighting their way toward the truck entrance. Drew claws at Fatu’s eyes as security once again fails to keep them separated.
We’ll return after the break with more results from WWE SmackDown on March 20, 2026.
– Back for the break with the reminder that Dennis Rodman is going to enter the WWE Hall of Fame.

Even so, he climbs the ropes and hits a frog splash, but the damage to his ribs keeps him from capitalizing.
Ilja catches Hayes mid‑springboard and plants him with a German suplex. He heads to the top and crashes down with a back senton for another near fall. Ilja climbs again, Hayes tries to counter with First 48, but Ilja blocks it and drills him with the H‑Bomb. Hayes barely survives by getting his foot on the bottom rope.

Ilja drags Hayes onto the turnbuckles, looking for a superplex, but Hayes twists mid‑air and counters with a super cutter for a near fall. Hayes chops Ilja, sending him to his knees, but Ilja demands more. Hayes unloads with more chops, Ilja fires back with a punch, and they trade forearms and chops in rapid succession.
Ilja strings together a boot, more chops, a spinning backfist, and a low chop to the knee. Hayes answers with a dropkick. Ilja stomps down on him with a leaping strike and follows with a powerbomb for two. He hoists Hayes onto his shoulders and drops him across the knee for another near fall.
Ilja signals for Torpedo Moscow, but Hayes counters with First 48 for a close two count. Hayes climbs the ropes for Nothing But Net, Ilja moves, and Hayes rolls through. Ilja blasts him with Torpedo Moscow, then tries to follow with a powerbomb — but Hayes flips it into Code Red and stacks him up for the three count.
Winner: Carmelo Hayes
Jelly Roll congratulates R‑Truth and Damian Priest on winning the tag titles. As he walks further down the hallway, he stops when he sees Randy Orton.
Randy immediately apologizes for what happened last week and asks Jelly to forgive him.
Jelly tells Randy he’s worried about him. He says he knows what it feels like to be defined by your worst moment, and he reminds Randy that he worked hard to change, to become a better man. Jelly doesn’t understand why Randy is trying to slip back into a version of himself he already outgrew. He says he knows a different Randy — a man full of love, a husband, a father, someone who had his back at SummerSlam. That’s the Randy he recognizes, not the one who showed up last week. Money and championships come and go, Jelly says, but family is always there.
Randy asks Jelly what he should do about Matt Cardona. Jelly tells him they’ll start by dealing with Cardona. Randy nods, says he hears him, and tells Jelly he loves him.

Jelly says if this is what Kit wanted, he’s ready to give it to him, and he calls for a referee.
Kit stops him and says Jelly’s ego is moving faster than his brain. He insists they’ll settle this like “civilized gentlemen.” He doesn’t fight with fists — he fights with words.
Jelly asks if he was flown to Raleigh for a rap battle. He says Kit might be able to dance, but he’s no rapper.
Kit corrects him — he’s better than a rapper. Tonight is slam poetry.
Jelly is stunned Kit actually brought a book.
Kit opens it and reads his poem.
Jelly tells him it wasn’t bad. He didn’t bring a book, but he has something to say — and fires off a string of insults about Kit’s mother.

Randy sets the chair in the ring, sits for a moment, then stands again. He says he owes the fans an apology — and he owes Matt Cardona one too. Randy asks Matt to come out so he can say it face‑to‑face.
Cardona makes his way to the ring.
Randy admits he hasn’t been himself the last few weeks. He apologizes sincerely, saying action figures are cool, he plays video games, and he’s known Matt for two decades. He says he’s sorry. He adds that next week, he plans to apologize to Cody as well. Randy asks Matt if he’ll forgive him.
They shake hands and hug.

Randy Orton backs up the aisle, security forming a loose wall around him as he keeps his eyes locked on the ring.
The tron suddenly switches to a live shot from the parking lot.
Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu are brawling outside the arena. Fatu slams Drew against a concrete wall, and the fight spills to the wrong side of the guardrail. Fatu hammers Drew with headbutts, and the two crash off the railing and hit the ground hard.
The show fades out as the chaos continues.
End of Show
–– Here is what’s in store for WWE SmackDown on March 20 ––
- Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer).
- WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend) (c) vs. The Bella Twins (Brie Bella & Nikki Bella).
- Kit Wilson calls out Jelly Roll.
- Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu.
- Randy Orton to speak.
- WWE Tag Team Championships: MFT (Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga) (c) vs. Damian Priest & R-Truth.
Just one week after Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton made their WrestleMania 42 Undisputed WWE Championship match official on SmackDown, the situation has already exploded. Moments after signing the contract, Orton blindsided Rhodes, battering him with the ring steps and a steel chair before leaving the champion motionless. With the WWE Universe still stunned by the attack, Orton is set to appear on tonight’s show with something he intends to get off his chest.
The Women’s Tag Team Championship will also be on the line tonight following last week’s chaotic scene. Nikki and Brie Bella were seated at ringside for Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss’ title challenge against The Irresistible Forces, having declared themselves next in line. Instead, the Bellas inserted themselves into the match, causing a double disqualification and allowing Nia Jax and Lash Legend to retain. Now, Jax and Legend will defend the titles again—this time against Nikki and Brie directly.
The WWE Tag Team Championship will be defended as well, with Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga putting the titles on the line for the first time since dethroning Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis on January 23. Their challengers, Damian Priest and R‑Truth, earned the opportunity by surviving a grueling Tag Team Turmoil Match on March 6, outlasting The Motor City Machine Guns, Nathan Frazer and Axiom, Los Garza, and The Wyatt Sicks. Meanwhile, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin will meet Frazer and Axiom in tag team action after tensions flared between the teams during that same Turmoil Match.
Drew McIntyre returns to in‑ring competition tonight as he faces longtime rival Jacob Fatu. The animosity between the two has escalated rapidly over the past several months, culminating in a heated confrontation last Friday that ended with McIntyre announcing he was quitting WWE—only to later cost Fatu his match against Trick Williams. Their issues now spill into the ring with both men looking for decisive retribution.
