Tony D’Angelo Comments on Possible WWE Call Up

Tony D’Angelo has shared his thoughts on a potential move to WWE’s main roster while promoting the March 31 episode of NXT, which takes place at the Infosys Theater inside Madison Square Garden in New York.

As part of the promotional push for NXT on The CW, D’Angelo appeared on Busted Open and was asked whether it would benefit him to remain in NXT longer to further develop his character. While he acknowledged the value of continued growth, he made it clear that he feels ready for the next step.

D’Angelo said, “I have all the confidence in myself right now. I think if I got the call tomorrow, I’d be just fine. It doesn’t hurt to hang on to the NXT Title for a little bit and kind of develop as the champion and being the guy on the brand. That could only help, but, yeah man, I don’t think I’m out of my realm getting called up at all really. I think I could hang with the best of ‘em.”

His comments reflect a balance between patience and confidence. While he sees value in continuing his run in NXT, he also believes he is fully capable of competing with top talent on WWE RAW or SmackDown if the opportunity arises.

D’Angelo has been a central figure in NXT programming, and his current position places him in a major storyline heading into Stand & Deliver. He is set to be part of a Fatal 4-Way match for the NXT Championship, alongside Ricky Saints, Ethan Page, and current champion Joe Hendry.

The upcoming contract signing for that match is expected to add more tension to the rivalry as all four competitors prepare for one of the biggest events on the NXT calendar.

With WrestleMania weekend approaching, Stand & Deliver will play a key role in shaping the future of several NXT stars. D’Angelo’s performance in the title match could influence whether a main roster call-up becomes a reality in the near future.

For now, D’Angelo remains focused on his current goals while staying ready for any opportunity that may come his way.
